Defending champion Golden State holds as the favorite to repeat at +500, suddenly trailed closely by the Clippers at +600. The Lakers, thanks to talk they will be acquiring Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving to reunite with LeBron James, have made the biggest jump from +2200 to +1400.

According to BetMGM, the Warriors have been getting the lion’s share of the ticket at 16.0%, followed by the Lakers at 11.2% and the Clippers third at 6.3%. The Warriors are getting 18.9% of the handle, the Lakers 12.8% and, not to be forgotten, last year’s favorites, the Phoenix Suns are getting 7.6% of the handle at +1000.

The dog days of summer also means extra attention heaped upon Mixed Martial Arts and UFC 276, set for Saturday, July 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In the main event, BetMGM has the Armenian Arman Tsarukyan a -270 favorite now after opening at -225 over Poland’s Mateusz Gamrot at +220 after opening at +210.

Plenty of bettors are liking the odds on Gamrot as he is getting 77% of the ticket and 57% of the handle, according to BetMGM.

On Undercard bouts, Shavkat Rakhmmonov (-450) is getting just 26% of the ticket but much bigger bets at 68% of the handle against Neil Magny (+290); Alan Baudot and Josh Parisian are now at even odds with Parisian getting 65% of the ticket and 59% of the handle; Thaigo Moses (-250) is getting 46% of the ticket and 55% of the handle against Christos Giagos (+200); and in the first fight of the night, heavy favorite Umar Nurmagomedov (-1100) is getting just 16% of the ticket but 58% of the handle.
