WHO WINS THE CHIP: NBA Futures Bets

Ottawa Senators vs. New York Islanders, 7:30PM ET

LEG 1: Under 6.5 (-124) FanDuel

We start with a hockey play as we head to the Islanders' home ice where they look to break a three-game losing streak in this contest with the Senators. New York has struggled to support its solid defense with goal support, scoring just 13 times through five games played. On the other hand, their defense has truly been sound, allowing just 17 goals so far this season. Ottawa has a top-seven scoring offense but will be playing in their first road game since their opener against Carolina in which they scored 3 goals. It's reasonable to see they could struggle to click on the road against a stingy Islanders defense. DimersBOT projects a 57% chance of the under tonight.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Buffalo Bills, 8:15PM ET

LEG 2: Buccaneers +9.5 FanDuel

Let's look at Thursday Night Football! We're isolating the spread in this one, and it's one that feels too big, even for a Bucs team against a superior Bills squad. The fact is, the Bucs have punched above their weight this year while the Bills can't seem to keep themselves from playing down to their opponents. DimersBOT thinks more of the same is on tap as it gives the Bucs a 53.0% chance of a cover.

The Buccaneers defense is the sixth-best in the league in terms of points allowed at just 17.3 per game. Meanwhile, the Bills have scored 25, 14 and 20 in their last three games, in which they lost to the Patriots, could barely beat the Giants and were flat-out unable to keep up with the Jaguars. It's a road game for Tampa Bay, but if they can stifle the run game and force a patented Josh Allen turnover or two, things will look good for the Bucs on primetime.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 7:30PM ET

LEG 3: 76ers +6.5 (-115) with DraftKings

Time to switch gears and head to the Association where our game features another Bucks team, although a different kind. We're betting on the other side, however, with the 76ers to cover the 6.5-point spread on DraftKings. You'll find this at -6 and (-110) most everywhere else, but this is a game that could come down to the wire, and if (hopefully when) it cashes, you won't care about that five cents on your dollar as much as you will that little green check.

The 76ers are an extremely talented team, even without James Harden. Hopefully, that drama doesn't break the Sixers' focus and they keep a tight one with the Bucks. All eyes will be on Dame Lillard in his debut with Milwaukee, but it could take a game or two for things to sync up in that starting lineup. DimersBOT gives Philly a 53% chance of a cover and 31% for an outright win.

TODAY'S TRENDS: NBA Trends

Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:00PM ET

LEG 4: Suns +6 (-108) with FanDuel

If you can believe it, this is the first head-to-head matchup between LeBron and Kevin Durant since 2018. It seems impossible that two star players could have so much time between meetings but scheduling and injuries have prevented the two from facing off since Christmas Day in 2018 and their long overdue matchup closes out the night. The Lakers looked outmatched in their opening night loss to Denver, falling behind by 18 points early and never truly getting back in it. The Suns won a back-and-forth game against the Warriors the same night.

Tonight, DimersBOT sees a true 50/50 toss-up for the spread with Devin Booker confirmed out and Bradley Beal yet to be active for his Suns debut. Still, Kevin Durant can lead a team as he's done time and time again, and the Lakers didn't make a statement in their opener.
