Best NBA Bets Today

Atlanta Hawks vs. New York Knicks, 7:30PM ET

These are the types of games that the Knicks need to start winning, as victories over the Pistons, Magic and Hornets aren't impressing anyone. This New York team made a splash in the summer in bringing Jalen Brunson over from the Mavericks, so it's time for the Knicks to show the world that they've made some improvements. Beating the Hawks would be a start, as it would show that New York belongs in the second tier of the Eastern Conference.

While the Hawks have an elite offensive talent running their offense in Trae Young, they are just ninth in the league in offensive rating at 114.2 points per 100 possessions. The Knicks are right there with them at 113.5 points per 100 possessions, but New York is top 15 in defensive rating and Atlanta is down at 24th in the NBA. That's a difference that should manifest itself on Wednesday night.

This game will also have an electric atmosphere, as Knicks fans treat meetings with Young and the Hawks like it's their Super Bowl. We just like the spot for New York and think Tom Thibodeau's group will get us off to a 1-0 start on Wednesday.

BET: Knicks -1.5 (-110) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️.

Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs, 8:00PM ET

People keep expecting the Spurs to fade into the abyss, but they have won and covered in five of their last six games. Now, San Antonio faces a Toronto team that is 4-16 against the spread when coming off a game in which it has scored 130 or more points under head coach Nick Nurse. The Raptors have only won those games by an average of 0.8 points per game, which would make for an easy cover for the Spurs in this one.

The Spurs are also 17-11 straight-up and 20-8 ATS when playing only their second game in five days, which just shows you how dangerous San Antonio can be when the team is well-rested. On top of the trends favoring the Spurs in this game, it also seems like Devin Vassell will be back for San Antonio on Wednesday. Vassell is an emerging two-way stud for Gregg Popovich and Co., and he should have a huge impact on a game that already features a ton of excellent wing players.

Do we think the Spurs will win this game outright? Probably not. But this is way too many points to be giving a San Antonio team that is clicking right now.

BET: Spurs +7 (-107) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Chicago Bulls, 8:00PM ET

The Bulls needed to use a lot of energy in earning a comeback road win over the Nets last night, and they then had to travel back to Chicago for this meeting with the Hornets. The Hornets, however, had yesterday off and should be feeling very fresh heading into this game. That's hard to ignore in a game like this and it's also unclear whether or not Zach LaVine will play here. Chicago has been very careful with him and might not want to play him on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Hornets have also been a lot more competitive than expected this season, and they come into this game after having covered in four of the seven contests they've played this year. It just wouldn't be surprising if this game ends up coming down to the wire, especially with the way Charlotte defends. Steve Clifford has the Hornets at 12th in the league in defensive rating this year, while the Bulls are just 22nd in the league in offensive rating. If Chicago has trouble scoring efficiently, it will be tough for the team to pull away.

BET: Hornets +5.5 (-106) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️.
