Best NBA Betting Picks and Parlay Today - Tuesday, October 25, 2022

There's only four games in the NBA on Tuesday, but we're looking to find three winners from that small offering. This slate does feature a TNT doubleheader in which the Dallas Mavericks will face the New Orleans Pelicans, while the Phoenix Suns will host the Golden State Warriors. With that said, it's going to be an exciting night in the association.

You're just not a basketball fan if you're not sitting down and soaking in some of these games, so why not get some action on them in the process? Not only are we confident in our ability to deliver winning picks, but we also have risk-free sportsbook promos that can get you some free money. With that in mind, make sure you check out our NBA best bets for Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

As always, we've simulated all of the night's NBA games 10,000 times each to determine where the value lies for sports bettors across the United States. It's the first loaded NBA slate of the 2022-23 season and we have three best bets to get things off on the right foot.

Best NBA Bets Today

Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 7:30PM ET

The season is still very young, but the Mavericks are third in the league in defensive rating. And being that they were one of the league's best defensive teams last year, that's probably no fluke. But the Pelicans have made some improvements on that side of the floor as well, as they're up to 13th in the league in defensive rating — despite getting torched by the Jazz a few nights ago.

We just expect this to be something of a low-scoring game, even with all of the talented scorers on the floor. Dallas has one of the game's truly elite offensive engines in Luka, but he does most of his damage in the half-court game. That's why the Mavericks play at the sixth-slowest pace in basketball. And the Pelicans aren't in the top 10 in that category either, despite having the personnel to play very fast.

The absence of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson in this game will also be a factor. Ingram is one of the best scorers in the league and the Pelicans will miss his ability to create in isolation. And Zion is a monster in transition and feasts around the basket. A lot of things are just pointing to the Under, so we're rolling with it.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 8:00PM ET

Last year, the Thunder were a very impressive 49-31-2 against the spread. That was the seventh-best mark in basketball. Now, despite being 0-3 on the year, the Thunder are 2-1 ATS. So, this is once again an Oklahoma City team that is playing some competitive basketball. And we think this group can keep things somewhat tight against Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Under head coach Mark Daigneault, the Thunder are 30-13 ATS when playing teams that give up 108.0 or fewer points per game. They have only lost those games by an average of 8.2 points per game, which would put them within the spread on this one. Also, since Ty Lue began coaching, his teams are just 18-36 ATS when coming off losses by 15 or more points. The Clippers lost by 17 against the Suns on Sunday.

Oklahoma City will be without some key players in this game, as Josh Giddey is out. But the team still has a few pieces left, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander being a borderline star. Also, Tre Mann is capable of stepping up and playing bigger minutes and Lu Dort is a two-way menace that will be out to shut some of the Clippers down. Also, the Clippers have some key absences themselves, with Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris Sr. and John Wall sitting here.

BET: Thunder +9.5 (-107) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️.

Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns, 10:00PM ET

The Suns play at the fourth-slowest pace in basketball, while the Warriors play faster than any team in the league. So, this will end up being an interesting clash of styles, but Phoenix is playing at home and should be more focused than Golden State here. The Suns want to make a statement that they can compete with the defending champs after last year's mess of a playoff exit. And while we can't say for certain that Phoenix will win this game outright, we do think Golden State will be forced to play slower than it would like.

Over the last two seasons, the Under is 25-13 when Golden State faces teams that outscore opponents by at least 3.0 points per game. The average total in those games was just 213.8 points per game, so the Warriors can be slowed down when facing elite competition. The Under also happens to be 14-3 in Phoenix games against divisional opponents since the start of last year. So, Suns games can be chippy against familiar foes.

This game shouldn't be boring by any means, but it just might not turn into a track meet.
