Best NBA Bets Today

Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30PM ET

For as talented as the Nets are, there's just no way we can suggest betting on them right now. This team has now lost four of its last five and has failed to cover in all five of those games. And even after having a players-only meeting to discuss their home loss to the Pacers on Saturday, the Nets nearly lost to them again on Monday.

This Brooklyn team is just absolutely putrid on the defensive end, as only one team in the league has a worse defensive rating this season. Chicago, however, is 13th in the league in defensive rating and it isn't impossible that the team will get Zach LaVine back in this one. It's just hard not to play the Bulls, even if the star isn't back.

This Chicago squad emphasizes team basketball and plays the game the right way. The Bulls should be able to stick around in Brooklyn, and DeMar DeRozan can then try to win it for them late.

Golden State Warriors vs. Miami Heat, 7:30PM ET

Oddly enough, the Warriors are 1-10 against the spread when playing on the road against Southeast division opponents over the last three seasons. Golden State has lost those games by an average of 3.9 points per game, and Steve Kerr's group is also facing a Miami team that is 13-3 ATS when coming off three road games in a row since the start of last season. The Heat have won those games by an average of 12.1 points per game, so they'll be amped up to be playing at home here.

This Warriors team also happens to be struggling mightily right now. They have lost four of their last six games and they're 1-5 ATS in those contests. Golden State also sits outside the top 20 in defensive rating and it's just 20th in offensive rating. These Warriors have a lot to figure out before playing like champions again, but we're not sure it happens here.

The Heat aren't playing their best basketball either, but they'll get up for this game and their toughness could make the difference in this spot.

BET: Heat +1 (-110) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Phoenix Suns, 10:00PM ET

The Suns are without Deandre Ayton for the next week or so, but the team has plenty of solid backup options behind him. Bismack Biyombo filled in admirably as a starter when he needed to last season, and backup Jock Landale has been the team's bench player all year. With that in mind, we're not so sure that Minnesota's frontcourt is going to dominate this game the way the oddsmakers might think.

What we do know is that the Suns have a strong advantage at guard and on the wing. That's why we're a little surprised to see Phoenix only laying this small number of points here. The Suns are 13-3 ATS when playing against teams with winning percentages of only 51% to 60% over the last two years, and they have won those games by an average of 13.5 points per game. Phoenix is also 34-13 ATS as a home favorite of six points or less under Monty Williams.

BET: Suns -3.5 (-105) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️.
