Best NBA Bets Today

Dallas Mavericks vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30PM ET

It seems a little too easy to just back the Mavericks to beat a struggling Nets team right now, and we're going to avoid that trap and bank on Brooklyn's elite talent manifesting itself in this one. For as good as Luka Doncic is, Kevin Durant is still arguably the best player in the world. He'll be out to prove that in this game, and the Mavericks also don't have anybody that comes close to matching Kyrie Irving's ability to score on the perimeter. That is where Dallas could miss Jalen Brunson, who is now on the New York Knicks. 

The fact that the Nets are 1-3 at this point in the year only makes this a stronger play. While there's always a chance Durant will end up requesting a trade before the deadline, this is where he is for now. And that makes this something of a must-win game, as the Nets can't afford to slip to 1-4.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 7:00PM ET

The Clippers have a number of players that pride themselves on being two-way guys, but they still have a lot of offensive firepower. And being that the Thunder play at the fifth-fastest pace in the league, you can probably count on this game turning into something of a shootout when all is said and done. 

These teams only combined to score 202 points when they met on Tuesday, but a lot of players were out in that one. There's a decent shot that Paul George returns for the Clippers tonight, which should change things drastically. 

We just aren't reading too much into that game from the other night. These teams will be looking to play a bit fast and this total is too low considering the offensive talent that will be on the floor here.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Sacramento Kings, 7:00PM ET

The Kings are 0-3 to start the season and that makes this a game they really need to find a way to win. And while we're not positive they'll find a way to do that, we do think it will go down to the wire and that they'll have a chance to win it. 

Sacramento might be 0-3 on the year, but the team is 2-1 against the spread. The Kings have also had a lot of time to get ready for this matchup, as they haven't played since October 23. On top of that, Sacramento is 10-8 straight-up and 11-7 ATS when coming off a loss against a division rival over the last three seasons. 

The Kings just have the talent required to make a matchup like this close. Focus and preparation can occasionally trip this Sacramento team up, but this is too big of a game for the Kings to allow that to happen here. It's getting late early for Mike Brown and Co.
