Best NBA Bets Today

Golden State Warriors vs. Orlando Magic, 7:00PM ET

The Warriors have lost three games in a row and haven't covered in any of them, and they have also failed to cover in six of their last seven games. They do, however, have to feel pretty good about their chances of picking up an easy win on Thursday. The Magic have won only one game all season and they are just 2-5-1 against the spread on the year. 

The math in this game just significantly favors Golden State, with the Warriors being fourth in the league with 14.5 made threes per game and the Magic being the second-worst team in the league in that regard at 9.8 made threes per game. With that in mind, it's just hard to envision this not being a lopsided game if these teams are shooting the way they normally do, as the Warriors will be able to easily create separation. 

Golden State's biggest weakness this season has also been its play on the defensive end, but Orlando is just 27th in the league in offensive rating. With that said, this isn't the type of team with the ability to make the Warriors pay for their shortcomings.

Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 8:00PM ET

The second game of the night should be a lot more competitive than the first, as we're getting a meeting between a good Nuggets team and a very feisty Thunder squad. For all the talk of Oklahoma City tanking this year, the team currently has the same 4-3 record as Denver. And the Thunder have been very kind to bettors thus far, as they are 6-1 ATS on the season. 

The reason Oklahoma City has been so good — and also the reason we like the team to cover tonight — is that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the best two-way guards in basketball. The 24-year-old is averaging 31.5 points, 6.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game this year. It has been one of the most insane things to watch, and it's just hard to see the Nuggets having much of an answer for him. With Jamal Murray not yet at his peak level after returning from a torn ACL, Oklahoma City has a big edge in the backcourt — especially when you factor in Luguentz Dort having the ability to shut down one of Denver's guards. 

Of course, the Thunder will also need to have an answer for Nikola Jokic, and not many teams in the league do. But we just think this Oklahoma City team has what it takes to keep this game close. The Thunder actually lost by only five when these teams met in Denver on October 22, and Oklahoma City is 57-40 ATS when revenging a loss against an opponent under head coach Mark Daigneault.
