Best NBA Bets Today

Indiana Pacers vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 7:00PM ET

The last two games that the Pacers have played have gone Over the total, and we're not going away from that bet now. Indiana is just 22nd in the league in defensive rating this season, while also being eighth in offensive rating and third in pace of play. That trio is golden for Over bettors, as this team likes to play fast games and doesn't really have the ability to get stops. 

It will be interesting to see the styles clash here, as the Sixers are playing at the slowest pace in the league currently. But it's hard to envision Indiana not finding a way to speed Philadelphia up, and the Sixers definitely have the personnel to win this game in a high-scoring affair. 

We had James Harden to have more than 9.5 assists in our NBA player props article and a lot of that had to do with us expecting a shootout here. The Over has also hit in six of the last seven meetings between these teams.

Utah Jazz vs. Houston Rockets, 8:00PM ET

The Jazz are now 3-0 with wins over the Nuggets, Timberwolves and Pelicans. All three of those teams are supposed to make the playoffs, so it's a really impressive start to the year for a Utah team that is supposed to be tanking for Victor Wembanyama. But the Jazz are going to start losing some games in the near future, and this seems like a likely spot. 

Not only are the Rockets going to be hungry to earn their first win of the year — they're currently 0-3 on the season — but the Jazz just played an overtime road game on Sunday. It's hard to go from that to traveling to a new city for another game, so it wouldn't be surprising if they can't match the focus of their opponent in this one. 

Also, while Utah plays extremely hard — and is currently playing the right way — Houston is the more talented team between the two. The Rockets have a lot firepower in their backcourt and we think they'll put the pressure on the Jazz right from the jump.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Memphis Grizzlies, 8:00PM ET

The Grizzlies are currently without Jaren Jackson Jr. and that's a massive loss for them on both ends of the floor. Memphis is deep enough to deal with that absence against most of the NBA's teams, but it's hard to say it won't be a factor against a Brooklyn team that is a legitimate title contender. The Grizzlies could have used his ability to protect the rim whenever Kyrie Irving gets to the basket, and Memphis would have also benefited from his ability to space the floor. 

The Nets also have the luxury of putting Ben Simmons on Ja Morant in this game. Morant is the type of player that will put up numbers against anyone, but Simmons is one of the best perimeter defenders in basketball. At the very least, he can make Morant work hard for every basket and also use his length to disrupt some of his passes. 

Brooklyn has also had two days off since beating Toronto on October 21, so this is a well-rested Nets team. Look for them to roll into Memphis and find a way to steal this win...or have it come down to the final possession. The Grizzlies don't have a match for Kevin Durant on the wing.
