Best NBA Bets Today

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Miami Heat, 8:30PM ET

Anfernee Simons and Damian Lillard are on the wrong side of questionable tonight. That means that the Blazers might be without their dynamic backcourt, but this is still a team that is capable of covering a big spread on the road. We actually saw this same Portland lineup earn a 108-106 win as a 12-point road underdog against Phoenix a few nights ago. That Suns team is arguably the best in basketball right now, so you'd have to think that the Blazers can keep it within eight against a Heat team that has lost its way.

In Shaedon Sharpe, Josh Hart, Justise Winslow, Jusuf Nurkic and Jerami Grant, the Blazers will still have a formidable starting lineup to work with in this game. In fact, quite a few of those guys take a lot of pride in their work on the defensive end, while also looking to get their teammates involved on the other end whenever possible. That's the right approach to the game and it's one that we see paying off for Portland bettors tonight.

Also, if you lock this in early and Lillard does end up playing, you'll be ecstatic about the line you were able to get.

BET: Blazers +7.5 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.

New York Knicks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves, 9:15PM ET

The Knicks have lost four of their last five games and will be eager to turn in a good performance on Monday. Fortunately for New York, it will be facing a Minnesota team that has also lost three of its last four. And all things considered, the fit for Rudy Gobert and this Timberwolves team has looked really clunky thus far.

Gobert is out tonight but Minnesota might be the "bad vibes" team that people thought Phoenix would be this season. The trade has made Karl-Anthony Towns an even worse defender than he already was, as he is now being forced to guard the perimeter and chase around more active power forwards. The lane is also completely clogged for Anthony Edwards, who seems to have lost a lot of his explosive ability anyway.

The Knicks haven't exactly looked great themselves, but Tom Thibodeau's group at least has some continuity and comfortability in playing with one another. And New York covered in both meetings with Minnesota last year. On top of that, the Knicks are 34-25 against the spread as road underdogs over the last three seasons.

BET: Knicks +3.5 (-107) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Utah Jazz, 10:15PM ET

Anthony Davis said that the Lakers are still a team that opponents fear on the basketball court, but we haven't seen any proof of that this season. Los Angeles is now 2-6 straight-up on the year and the team also happens to be 16-30 ATS after having played a home game over the last two seasons. The Lakers have lost those games by an average of 4.7 points per game, showing that they have some trouble getting up for road games after playing on the big stage in Los Angeles.

As for the Jazz, the team just continues to win more and more games, making this hot start to the season look somewhat legitimate. Utah just has a team full of basketball players that know their games extremely well. Everybody on this team is playing their role to perfection and the Jazz also play the right way collectively. They crash the boards, take good shoots and are generally in the right spots on defense. That's why they're in the Top 10 in both offensive and defensive rating this year.

While Utah might not look as talented as Los Angeles on paper, this is just a lopsided matchup in favor of the home team. Look for the Jazz to outwork yet another opponent on their way to a relatively easy win.

BET: Jazz -4.5 (-107) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.
