The Hornets are in free fall, in the midst of a seven game losing streak that doesn't appear to have any end in sight, especially after dealing experienced big man Mason Plumlee at the deadline. The now undersized Hornets will face a matchup against one of the most potent offenses in the NBA in the Atlanta Hawks, whose big men in Clint Capela and John Collins should be salivating at the thought of a chance to feast.

Further than just the shortcomings of Charlotte in the frontcourt is their inability to defend (ranked 28th in the league for opponent points allowed per game), as well as their shooting (ranked 29th in the league for FG%). Atlanta should be in full control.

Houston Rockets vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 7:00PM ET

After Sunday night's Super Bowl, the city of Philadelphia won't exactly be in the best mood heading into tonight's Sixers game. While retribution may be on the minds of some, our model believes the -14.5 line set by the sportsbooks here is just a little too high. The Rockets, though inexperienced, are sporting a points differential of just -7 this season, while the Sixers haven't been blowing out teams with their points diff. sitting at a small-ish +2.3. Philly should still win this, but don't expect the Rockets to let them have it all their own way.

New York have won three of their last four and will like their chances against the Nets, who can now only be described as a frisky upsetter rather than a bonafide contender. These are simply the type of games that the Knicks need to win in order to solidify their standings within the best teams of the East, and our data model agrees, giving them a 53% chance of covering the spread.
