The hype among Orlando fans is immense, but as of yet the Magic are still waiting on their first W of the year. That bad streak looks to continue against the Hornets and their fire-powered offense tonight. Charlotte are 2-2 to start the year and they're a bad defensive team, giving up 117.3 points per game to open the year but on the other end of the floor, they play at a breakneck speed, ranking 1st in the NBA for points scored per game. For the Magic, who are struggling to put up points, averaging just 104.2 of them per game, the speed might just be too much for the team full of young talent to keep up with.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics, 7:30PM ET

The Cavs look legit this season but the sportsbooks are taking a little while to catch up. They're 3-1, riding the hot hand of off-season trading recruit Donovan Mitchell who is producing elite-level output through the opening games of the season. They travel to Boston for a stern test against last year's Eastern Conference champions, but they've got the Celtics at a good time. The Celts are coming off a bad loss to the Bulls on Monday where their offense completely shut down after the first quarter in the 120-102 defeat. If the men in green are hoping to get back into an offensive groove tonight, they could be in for a surprise against a stingy Cavalier defense who are allowing just 100.8 points per game. This one stays close and scoring will be at a premium.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves, 8:00PM ET

The NBA is definitely enjoying taking turns to pound the Lakers right now. They're 0-4 and it's hard to know where that first win is going to come from as they lack cohesion and scoring power, ranking dead last in the league for points per game with 102.3. With the way the season has started across the league, if you're bringing a knife to a gun fight, you're going to be killed instantly. This Timberwolves team are equipped to run the floor quickly, ranking 6th for points per game and are especially lethal in the first quarter of games where they average 34 points - a differential of 10 points compared with the Lakers' first quarter mark.
