The Cavs look like a legit contender this year, powered by Donovan Mitchell who is putting up historic numbers and is backed by a supporting cast who are maturing before our eyes. For the Cavs, a game like this against the young and inexperienced Pistons is simply a game that they must win and win well in.

Detroit are a bad defensive and offensive team, ranking 27th in the league for points allowed per game, while ranking 25th on the offensive end for points scored per game. With the Cavs ranking in the top 10 in the league for the same metrics, look for them to put up a monster score and blow this one out.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards, 7:00PM ET

The Nets continue to be in disarray, now with the news that Kyrie Irving is suspended for a minimum of 5 games. There will still be so much to play out in this drama over the coming weeks and days, but for now, the best thing we can do as bettors to to try and exploit the chaos for our financial benefit. The Wizards are playing the .500 basketball that we've come to know and expect from them over recent years, but they are coming off a nice win over the 76ers in which they were dominant. Washington rank in the top 10 of the league for both scoring in the restricted area and in the paint. With the likes of Porzingis, Kuzma and Beal all in the same squad and the lack of proven rim protector depth for the Nets, this has all the makings of a Wizards victory.

Chicago Bulls vs. Boston Celtics, 7:30PM ET

The Celtics come into this one as raging favorites against a Bulls team who are playing some good ball. The Bulls' strength comes in their defense, ranking 6th in the league, holding their opponents to a miserly 108.8 points per game (at least that's miserly in today's NBA). The Celtics haven't exactly hit the same defensive heights they were achieving last year and could open the door for Chicago's scorers to keep this one competitive. The line feels just a little too high for the form that the Bulls are in.
