The Magic, perhaps to their long-term detriment, are rolling right now, having won seven of their last eight games as their young team begins to blossom. Many expected they'd be a major contender in the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes, but a win against the 10-20 Spurs tonight would effectively put them three games ahead in the win column. Whilst that might matter to the executives in the front office, it won't matter to the guys on the floor, and we should anticipate another big performance in front of the home crowd. It's hard to go past the in-form Magic.

Bulls vs. Knicks, 7:30PM ET

These two teams are not too far removed a two-game series against each other in Chicago just a week-and-a-half ago where the Knicks claimed both games amidst their eight-game winning streak that was only broken on Wednesday night against Toronto on the second night of a back-to-back.

New York shared the love in their two wins over the Bulls on December 14 and December 16, with Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Jalen Brunson and Quentin Grimes all taking turns at notching big scores. With a night to recover, and on their home court at Madison Square Garden, New York have a big opportunity to go 3-0 on the Bulls this season

Hornets vs. Lakers, 10:30PM ET

Two bad defenses and two good offenses - we are in for a big total in Los Angeles tonight. The Hornets, who were one of the highest scoring teams of last season, have emerged out of their early year slumber to put up an average of 117 points per contest over their last five games. The Lakers haven't let the loss of Anthony Davis stifle their offensive production, averaging 117.4 points over the same span. 

On the defensive end, both teams are giving up more than 120 points per game in December which is something to be expected for two teams who play at such a speed, both ranking in the top 10 of the NBA for pace of play. The only thing stopping this one from going over will be shooting percentage.
