These are two teams that you wouldn't trust with on your mother's life to win games of basketball consistently, but perhaps something we can rely on is the Wizards and Hornets putting up points on Friday night.

The Wiz, despite the talent on their team, have lost four of their last five games and have done it as a result of some leaky defense, giving up close to 120 points to their opponents over that span. While the Hornets haven't been as fluid on the offensive end as what they were last year, coming up against a poor defense might be just the tonic they need to go on a scoring run. On the plus side for bettors, Charlotte are also just as awful at defending, ranking 22nd in the NBA for points allowed this season at 115 points per contest, and they've been even worse recently, giving up 117 over their last five. These guys will trip over themselves to blow the ball game, but at least it should be entertaining for lovers of the over.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. San Antonio Spurs, 8:00PM ET

After some early season success, the Spurs are exactly where most people thought they would be which is right in the hunt for Victor Wembanyama at this year's draft. They've now lost nine straight games, failing to cover in eight of those games - all of which they started with the points. That type of losing is rare air, but when it comes down to a generational talent in Wembanyama, it's understandable. They meet a New Orleans team who are going in an opposite trajectory and will be hungry to dominate in Texas. The Pelicans will be boosted by the return of CJ McCollum and look far and away the superior team.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Memphis Grizzlies, 8:00PM ET

The Grizzlies have been a force to be reckoned with on their home court so far this season with a record of 7-2. Not only is their record on their home floor impressive, but they've been a far superior defensive unit in Memphis, allowing just 108 points per game compared with 118 points per game when on the road. Coming up a battered and bruised Philly unit that already struggles enough with scoring points, this should be an easy dub for the Grizzlies.
