Wednesday MLB Parlay Analysis
Atlanta Braves vs. St. Louis Cardinals, 1:15 PM ET
LEG 1: Paul Goldschmidt to Record a Hit (-215) with DraftKings
The 2022 NL MVP to record a hit is the first leg of our parlay today.
Goldschmidt faces Elder for Atlanta, who he has yet to see in his career. A savvy hitter like Goldschmidt will likely try to ambush Elder early in the count, and we could see a base hit come early in the game.
On the year, hits aren’t hard to come by for Goldy. Goldschmidt is hitting an impressive .474 this season in 19 at-bats. There isn’t much of a drop-off when looking at his numbers vs lefties and righties.
Bryce Elder is a right-handed pitcher and Goldschmidt is still hitting .429 vs righties. When Goldschmidt puts the ball in play, good things tend to happen.
Goldschmidt is in prime position to get us a hit today and get us one leg closer to a parlay cash.
⚾️ Braves vs. Cardinals Predictions
📈 Betting preview: Braves vs. Cardinals
Cleveland Guardians vs Oakland Athletics, 3:37 PM ET
LEG 2: Athletics +1.5 (-155) with DraftKings
The Athletics won a late game thriller once again against the Guardians yesterday. Today, the DimersBot found a 2.9% edge for taking the A’s once again on the runline.
The A’s will start their lefty Kyle Muller today. In his first start, Muller was great, going 5 innings and only allowing 1 earned run.
The Guardians are hitting an impressive .295 vs lefties this season, but we are likely to see some regression today. The Guardians’ hitters haven’t faced Muller before, so he should be able to have the advantage the first few times through the order.
To cover the run line, we need the A’s bats to once again show up. They were able to hit Shane Bieber yesterday, and we expect no different for Gaddis today.
In only 3.2 innings, Gaddis allowed 4 earned runs. There will be plenty of run opportunities against Gaddis today, as he was missing pitch location several times in his first start.
The A’s need to turn missed pitches into extra base hits today. If they do that, they should provide Muller the run support he needs to keep it within a 1 run game and cover this leg for us.
⚾️ Guardians vs. Athletics Predictions
📈 Betting preview: Guardians vs. Athletics
Los Angeles Angels vs. Seattle Mariners, 4:10 PM ET
LEG 3: Shohei Ohtani to Record a Hit (-240) with DraftKings
Today’s parlay does not have the +517 odds that yesterday’s did. But, we don’t need to try to hit a home run every single parlay, instead, we can settle for base hits and still get +241 odds on the Parlay and keep our bankroll building!
Speaking of base hits, that is all we need today from Shohei Ohtani.
Ohtani will start for the Angels, so this is the classic ‘put the team on my back’ Ohtani performance we are looking for. In his first ‘pitching’ start of the season, Ohtani had a hit. So, all we are asking him to do is repeat something he’s already done.
Ohtani has a hit in 4 of 5 games this season. He was held hitless yesterday, which I don’t expect to happen in back to back games. Ohtani will face Chris Flexen.
Flexen is not un-hittable. I am confident Ohtani can help himself by getting on base and trying to manufacture runs for this Angels offense.
In Ohtani’s first start, he threw 6 scoreless innings and the Angels still lost 2-1. Ohtani will have to do everything for the Angels today, and that’s fine by me!
I know it is juiced, but Ohtani is one of the best hitters in the league. On the road, he should see 4+ plate appearances easily. He can get us at least 1 hit in those at bats.
We ride with Shohei to cap off the parlay & fill up our bank accounts!
