Tuesday MLB Parlay Analysis

Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Sox, 7:10 PM ET

LEG 1: Masataka Yoshida to Record a Hit (-215) with DraftKings

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of two straight Parlays of the Day SMACKING!

Can we hit three in a row? Absolutely, and it begins with Mastaka Yoshida.

Some of you might not know who he is and that’s fine. All that matters is that myself and the DimersBOT know who he is. The DimersBOT loves Yoshida to get a hit tonight, giving us a 4.1% Edge.

However, I feel the best way to learn about Masataka Yoshi is to begin with a trivia question. Who has the longest current hit streak in the MLB?

Correct! Masataka Yoshida. He’s rocking an 11 game hit streak, batting .419 over that timespan. This is his first MLB season since coming over from Japan & he’s figured it out quickly.

Today, Yoshida will face Yusei Kikuchi. Kikuchi has had three straight good starts, but don’t let that fool you. He’s still capable of a 6 ER type game like he had on April 9th.

Kikuchi is a lefty. Yoshida is batting .280 vs. LHP. That batting average would be much higher if it weren’t for a 19% walk percentage vs. Lefties in 32 at bats.

I don’t see Kikuchi walking Yoshida here. Kikuchi has 1 or fewer walks in four of his five starts. He will give Masataka some hittable pitches. All we are asking for is 1 hit!

Los Angeles Angels vs St. Louis Cardinals, 7:45 PM ET

LEG 2: Paul Goldschmidt to Record a Hit (-255) with DraftKings

Whenever I see a left handed pitcher starting against the Cardinals in Busch Stadium, it feels like I have to auto-bet Goldschmidt to get a hit.

Today, we have that auto-bet as Patrick Sandoval (a lefty) will start on the road in Busch Stadium vs. the Cardinals. The term ‘auto-bet’ might be a tad exaggerated but let me give you the stats behind why I like Goldschmidt vs. a lefty at home.

Last season, Goldschmidt hit .411 vs. Left Handed Pitching. Goldschmidt also hit .347 at home. Combining both of those 2 leads to a good chance he gets us a hit. This season, Goldschmidt picked up right where he left off hitting .333 vs. LHP & .326 at home.

Goldschmidt has a hit in seven of his last eight games. He’s a very consistent & reliable hitter. Only concern would be Goldschmidt walking too often.

Last start, Sandoval dialed down his walks to 0 (after having 6 the previous game).

We aren’t asking for an MLB Record here. One hit is all we ask for. Paul, get it done.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, 10:10 PM ET

LEG 3: Bryson Stott to Record a Hit (-200) with DraftKings

AND finally, we get to Leg 3. Just like yesterday, we are relying on Stott to take us home.

Stott will get it done for us, just like he did last night.

Stott is hitting .315 this season and having a true breakout one at that. He has a hit in 9 of his last 11 games, and being that they are on the road, he could see 5+ plate appearances tonight, especially after the Phillies got smoked last night.

Julio Urias will start for the Dodgers. He’s not unhittable, in fact, quite the opposite. Urias has allowed 8, 7 and 7 hits in his last three starts.

The lefty, Urias, is struggling and I am hoping Stott takes advantage. Stott is hitting .316 vs. lefties this season and .303 on the road.

I expect Urias to be better than he has recently, but that doesn’t mean he is throwing a no-hitter (knock on wood). I like Stott to get us at least a single tonight.

It doesn’t have to be a flashy homerun. A measly single will do the trick!

Masataka, Paul and Bryson. Three great players who all need to get a hit today to cash this +205 hit parlay. Do you feel good about it? Because I know I do.
