In perhaps the pick of the midweek series, two upstart teams ahead of schedule meet in Cleveland with the Orioles and Guardians duking it out from tonight. Both teams have a near identical record and will we will likely see a close series, but we expect the home team to draw first blood with the impressive Cal Quantrill (10-5, 3.59 ERA) on the mound and looking to continue his stellar form with the Guards going 9-0 in Quantrill's last 9 starts.

Rockies vs. Braves, 7:20PM ET

This is as about as lopsided as it gets with the reigning champs looking to inflict pain on the Rockies, and one of the most out-of-form pitchers in José Ureña (2-5, 5.98 ERA). The Colorado ace has been dismal during the month of August through 5 starts with a 7.88 ERA. That's worrying coming up against this Braves team who suffered a little stumble this past weekend against the Cardinals. With Max Fried (12-4, 2.52 ERA) starting with the ball, look for them to right the ship in dominating fashion.

Astros vs, Rangers, 8:10PM ET

The battle for the Lone Star State ignites again with the Rangers hosting the Astros this week, and don't be surprised to see a nice showing in the series opener tonight from the home team Texas. Leftie Framber Valdez (13-4, 2.65 ERA) will be on the bump for the Astros, and while he's obviously been a dominant pitcher through the year, this Rangers team love leftie pitching with an average of 5.63 runs per 9 innings this season. If they can keep that kind of offensive power up, they will be able to keep things close.
