Tuesday MLB Parlay Analysis
Seattle Mariners vs Philadelphia Phillies, 6:41 PM ET
LEG 1: Alex Bohm to Record a Hit (-230) with DraftKings
We’re asking Alec Bohm to get a hit to get this parlay started off right. Bohm should have opportunities to get a hit today against the Seattle Mariners.
Bohm faces Logan Gilbert today. I like the fact that the Phillies are home because Bohm has a hit in three straight home games. At home, he’s batting .275 on the season.
Logan Gilbert gives up hard-contact extra base hits. Bohm is hitting above 67% hard contact hit percentage so there should be opportunities for us there.
The Phillies are a great team vs right-handed pitchers, so I imagine they get plenty of base runners. This should lead to added plate appearances for Bohm.
Texas Rangers vs Cincinnati Reds, 6:41 PM ET
LEG 2: Spencer Steer to Record a Hit (-260) with DraftKings
Although not a household name, Spencer Steer is reliable for a hit. Today, Steer and the Reds face Martin Perez and the Rangers.
Steer is hitting a ridiculous .324 at home this season. Coming off a two-hit game yesterday, I think Steer stays hot today.
Steer has a hit in three out of his last four games. Perez gave up eight hits in his last start, which is something he’s done twice this year.
There should be opportunities for Steer and this Reds team to get some hits on Martin Perez. Now, go execute the job Spencer!
Houston Astros vs Tampa Bay Rays, 6:41 PM ET
LEG 3: Alex Bregman to Record a Hit (-195) with DraftKings
Since it’s early in the season, we’re getting decent value on a record a hit prop for Bregman. Bregman is a notorious slow-start hitter, but I like his matchup today.
Coming off a two-hit game in Tampa yesterday, I think Bregman works a little hit streak again today. He’s hitting .247 on the season, so we already see the batting average trending up.
Today, he faces Drew Rasmussen. The only decent offense Rasmussen faced was the Blue Jays. In that game, Toronto got to him for eight hits.
I think the Astros will make Rasmussen work, which will mean there will be several opportunities for Bregman to leverage a hit.
The great thing we have working in this play is a guaranteed nine innings-worth of at-bats for the Astros since they’re the away team. All you can ask for is the opportunities to get a hit.
Bregman isn’t a hitter known to chase pitches out of the zone, so he should be in great shape to get a hit to fall for us today!
