Tuesday MLB Parlay Analysis
Baltimore Orioles vs Washington Nationals, 6:40 PM ET
LEG 1: Adley Rutschman to Record a Hit (-220) with DraftKings
We’ve hit two straight parlays. Who says we can’t hit three in a row? We will start with Mr. Rutschman. Adley is batting .344 on the year, one of the highest in the MLB.
He bats in the two-slot for the Orioles and given that they are on the road, he will likely see four, but potentially five plate appearances, which is great for us.
Adley has a hit in 13 of 16 games played this season. He will go up against Josiah Gray. Gray isn’t the best pitcher in the MLB by any stretch of the imagination.
Gray is a pitcher capable of hosting batting practice at any given moment. Gray likes to get you to chase out of the zone. It will be tough to get Adley to do that as Rutschman is in the 86th Percentile for Chase Rate, 90th Percentile for K% & 95th Percentile in Whiff %.
He’s one of the best hitters in the league, and he’s super young too. A bright future ahead for the Orioles Catcher. Today, we need one hit. You can get two or more if you want, but all we need is one and I believe he can get that done.
Minnesota Twins vs Boston Red Sox, 7:11 PM ET
LEG 2: Red Sox +1.5 (-170) with DraftKings
In our video, you might’ve already seen we’re on the Red Sox moneyline. We like this leg as insurance to that play in case they do end up losing a close 1-run game.
The DimersBOT gives this play an edge, so you know the computer finds this spot favorable as well. Computers are better than humans at just analyzing the line, which is exactly what we’re doing here.
Despite Chris Sale and his 11.25 ERA, this is still a great spot for him to prove he can be a reliable starter. He faces the Twins who have struggled only hitting .218 vs lefties this season.
If Sale can hold it down, I believe his offense gives him run support. The Red Sox are fourth-best in runs scored at home and 11th in OPS at home.
We like what we saw from Boston even after the weather delay yesterday. This team has the ability to score in bunches, and we hope they’re up to the task once again today!
Pittsburgh Pirates vs Colorado Rockies, 8:41 PM ET
LEG 3: UNDER 14.5 Runs (-210) with DraftKings
For starters, we like the normal under in this game as well. This line is an alternate total in which these teams can’t combine for 15 runs.
Even though the Pirates unleashed the hit parade on Freeland yesterday, I don’t think they’re going to duplicate that. Jose Urena is currently rocking a 9.90 ERA and yes, he’s not a good pitcher.
What we’re banking on Urena to do today is what he’s good at: pitching to contact. When Urena is at his best, he’s getting the soft-contact ground ball outs. That’s certainly something this Pirates team could fall victim to today.
The line for this game is a pick’em despite Urena and his 9.90 ERA. Surely the books think he’s due a bounceback.
This Rockies team is very streaky offensively. We do foresee them getting hits and runs up on Velasquez and his 5.40 ERA. But is it enough to cash 15 total runs? We doubt it.
If baseball has taught us anything, it’s hard to follow up a high scoring game two days in a row. Give us the under as a “coming back down to Earth game” for these bats.
