Tuesday MLB Parlay Analysis

Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago Cubs, 7:40 PM ET

LEG 1: Ty France OVER 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (-140) with DraftKings

If you don’t have the ability to bet Hits+Runs+RBIs (or as I abbreviate, HRRs), my best pivot would be France to Record a Hit OR to Record a Run (a hit is safer).

If you watched the Calling Our Shot Daily MLB Picks video on YouTube, you’d know that I also liked Julio Rodriguez OVER 1.5 Bases.

In an ideal world, JRod leads off with a double and then Ty France gets an RBI single and we can cash both in the 1st Inning. France will bat second in the Mariners lineup. He will have his chances.

Ty France is never an easy out. He’s batting .313 this season with a .365 OBP. In 11 games this season, France has a hit in 10 of them. He has a run in eight of them. He has an RBI in four of them.

France has 2+ Hits+Runs+RBIs in 10 of 11 games this season.

The books have set the O/U to 9.5, so to me, that is indicating that weather will be on our side for some extra base hits. France is always capable of getting a hit and getting on base. I’ll roll with him to get us 2+ HRRs.

As I said at the top, your best pivot would be for France to Record a Hit and drink the juice!

St. Louis Cardinals vs Colorado Rockies, 8:40 PM ET

LEG 2: Cardinals -1.5 (-110) with DraftKings

The Cardinals took a 7-4 loss yesterday, but today they will bounce back. Everyone is low on Mikolas, high on Freeland but today those roles are reversed.

In 2022, Mikolas had a nightmare start at Coors Field. Mikolas only went 2.2 IP and allowed 10 earned runs. It’s going to be really hard for him to do any worse than this year.

Mikolas has a 9.64 ERA on the year but he’s a better pitcher than that. We trust some positive regression to come his way. After his recent performances, you imagine he’s working tirelessly to fix command and control issues.

The Cardinals offense is capable of hitting Kyle Freeland hard today. In 2 games, Freeland has an impressive 0.00 ERA.

The Cardinals had his number last year. Freeland had a 7.84 ERA against St. Louis last year and a 6.00 ERA at home.

Freeland struggles against teams who are good at putting the ball in play, and that’s what St. Louis is great at. In the end, the Cardinals offense will overwhelm Freeland and be enough to overcome Mikolas' mistakes. Cardinals win by 2 or more and get this leg of the parlay cashed.

Washington Nationals vs. Los Angeles Angels, 9:38 PM ET

LEG 3: Mike Trout to record a hit (-240) with DraftKings

Everyone, including myself, was on Trout to record a hit yesterday or to get 2+ bases. It was against Patrick Corbin, it felt free.

Errrr. Wrong. Trout went 0/5 with 3 strikeouts. Naturally, today is when Trout will go off and you better believe I will be there to cash out with him.

Prior to yesterday, Trout had a hit in 8 straight games. This season, Trout has not been hitless in back to back games. Despite yesterday’s stinker, he’s still hitting .306 on the season.

Trout had some hard hit balls yesterday, just none found the gap. Josiah Gray (the starter for the Nationals) will give him hittable pitches.

In 2 starts, Gray has thrown 35% Slider, 25% Curveball & 21% 4-Seam Fastball. All 3 of those pitches are great for Trout to hit. I will note that Trout is 0/3 lifetime vs. Gray, but that just screams that he is due.

Last season, Trout hit .330 at home. We aren’t asking for a homerun, just a measly single will do the trick, Trout. Go get it done and get us our coin back after last night’s debacle.
