Thursday MLB Parlay Analysis

Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox, 2:10 PM ET

LEG 1: Guardians +1.5 (-170) with DraftKings

We were close to hitting three straight parlays in a row, but sadly, the Mariners & Red Sox felt like scoring 100 runs. But, that’s okay. Life goes on. Let’s get it done today.

I love the Guardians to potentially win this game outright, but I will take the +1.5 for safety. The Guardians have lost both games in this series, and neither of them were particularly close.

I expect plenty of people to finally trust the White Sox today, and that’s the spot we look to strike. The White Sox with Dylan Cease starting make people feel comfortable to back them.

In baseball, when you’re comfortable, it’s usually a loss. The Guardians are looking to avoid being swept for the first time this season. They have seen Cease in 80 Plate Appearances, supporting a .275 batting average.

Logan Allen will start for the Guardians and have to hold it down, but I think he can do just that. One of the big reasons I love Cleveland is the bullpen advantage. The White Sox bullpen has pitched better as of late, but they are also capable of 3-4 run type innings.

The Guardians will have their chances for the cover run if we need it. At the end of the day, we don’t need the Guardians to win outright, just keep it close and lose by one, and we are all winners.

New York Yankees vs Toronto Blue Jays, 7:10 PM ET

LEG 2: Over 6.5 Runs (-280) with DraftKings

For the seond leg of this parlay, we are asking the Yankees & Blue Jays to score some runs. Seven or more to be exact.

So far this series, we’ve seen the teams combine for: 11, 9 & 3 runs. The three came yesterday (all in the bottom of the 10th), so I am expecting both offenses to get back to what they are capable of.

Nestor Cortes will start for the Yankees. He’s taken a big step-back this year and is coming off his worst start of the year: 6 ER vs. TB. While I expect Nestor to be better, he has struggled on the road allowing 2, 3 & 7 ER in his three road starts. The Blue Jays will get their chances vs. Cortes.

Jose Berrios will start for the Blue Jays. We know Berrios. We know he’s capable of giving us eight runs, which he did in his first start of the season. Berrios is coming off two solid 2 ER performances. The last thing I would want to do is expect Berrios to continue to be good.

Expect the unexpected from Berrios. Regression is coming. The bullpens are liable for some runs too. The OVER 6.5 just makes too much sense.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs St. Louis Cardinals, 7:45 PM ET

LEG 3: Under 10.5 Runs (-235) with DraftKings

The DimersBOT gives the Cardinals a 4% edge to win this game. While we’re not picking the Cardinals to win, I don’t see this game going over and the Cardinals having a chance to win in a high scoring affair.

Adam Wainwright and his 7.20 ERA take the mound for the Cardinals today. Even though Wainwright has been bad this year, he’s still capable of shutting the Dodgers down.

The strikeout numbers are down for Wainwright and he needs to induce some soft contact ground ball outs. As a savvy veteran pitcher, we believe Waino will pitch-to-contact and limit the damage the Dodgers do via extra base hits.

Julio Urias starts for the Dodgers. So far, Urias enters with a 3.61 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. In his last three starts, he hasn’t allowed more than two earned runs.

The Cardinals haven’t been amazing vs lefties this season. St. Louis is 14th in batting average and 17th in OPS vs lefties.

After their 18 run outburst, the Cardinals are only hitting .227 in their last two games. We’re on the under 8.5 normal line in our video, so the alternate 10.5 line is a great play to add in this parlay too.
