About a month ago, if I had've told you that a game involving Aníbal Sánchez (2-5, 4.56 ERA) would be a contender for one of the under plays of the day, you would have laughed at me. But that's the case in front of us today as Sánchez of the Nats goes up against one of the premier pitchers in the MLB in Sandy Alcantara (12-8, 2.43 ERA). We all know of Alcantara's prowess, but it's the Washington ace that has been just as impressive over his most recent starts, boasting a 1.29 ERA in his last three appearances. Miami have one of the most stuttering run offenses in the league and will struggle to put up anything big here. Expect a really low scoring contest.

Phillies vs. Braves, 1:35PM ET

The Braves have been adequately dominant over Philadelphia this weekend with two straight wins on Friday and Saturday as they look to close out the weekend with a series sweep. In their way will be the Phillies' lefty-starter Bailey Falter (5-3, 3.80 ERA) who is enjoying some good form with a 3-0 record with a 2.04 ERA over his last three starts. Unfortunately for him, Atlanta love facing left-handed pitching, averaging 5.35 runs per game this season against lefties. The Phils will potentially still be without Rhys Hoskins who has missed the last three games with an injured hand. They just don't have enough firepower to keep up with the reigning champs.

Yankees vs. Brewers, 2:10PM ET

The Yankees continue to limp to the postseason, on a 2-game skid this weekend against the Brewers. While it would look like New York gets some relief on the surface for this afternoon's matchup with Gerrit Cole (11-7, 3.30 ERA) getting the start, the form of Cole has echoed that of his team at large with five games in his last 10 starts giving up 4 runs or more. This Brewers hitting unit have shown that they are well equipped to dispatch anything that the Yanks throw at them this weekend and they are excellent value at the runline.
