Phillies vs. Mets, 1:40PM ET

If the Phillies thought that after facing Scherzer and then deGrom in back-to-back nights that it would get easier today, they are sadly mistaken. Chris Bassitt (9-7, 3.39 ERA) will be on the bump for the rampaging Mets today and while much of the fanfare around New York's chances this year has been attributed to their two hot aces, Bassit shouldn't be slept on either. He's now produced two scoreless starts in a row and will look to continue that form into this afternoon. New York will need to pick up their game on the scoring side of things, but this hitting lineup is capable of igniting.

Tigers vs. White Sox, 2:10PM ET

The Tigers are in a familiar slump having lost 9 of their last 10 games, and while that run may very well continue today as the White Sox look to close out their weekend series with a sweep, at least there should be a decent chunk of runs scored in this one. Chicago will be sending out Lance Lynn (2-5, 5.88 ERA) to the mound - a man who has been leaking runs with regularity. That should enable Detroit to at least apply some run pressure and see if their 20th-ranked defense can hold up enough to absorb it. We've got the over.

Twins vs. Angels, 4:07PM ET

The Twins are looking to end their weekend with a win after going down in an epic to the Angels last night in the 11th inning, and their chances are looking good. Tucker Davidson (1-3, 7.91 ERA) is taking to the mound for the Angels has been floating around in the Major Leagues for a few years now without ever showing too much that suggests he has a future in the league as an ace. He's given up 5+ runs in three of his five starts so far this year and will find things tough again against a Minnesota team who are chasing top spot in their division.
