Best MLB Bets Today

Braves vs. Phillies, 2:07PM ET

While the Phillies jumped all over the Braves yesterday in their first home playoff game, we don't expect the same result two days in a row. Charlie Morton takes the mound for Atlanta, and he seems to be the Braves' good luck charm as of late. Atlanta has won five of Morton's last six starts.

The Phillies stole game one of this series and the Braves immediately responded with a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2. This team is talented, but more importantly resilient, and we expect them to come up with a big win to even the series

Astros vs. Mariners, 4:07PM ET

While the Mariners are yet to win a game, this has arguably been the most competitive series in all of baseball through two games. Both sides have incredible offensive talent, and any time the young Mariners have made a big play, the veteran Astros have responded loudly, led by Yordan Alvarez's fireworks at the plate.

This game will feature Lance McCullers and George Kirby on the mound, and while both are good enough to silence opposing lineups, they've been a part of some high scoring games recently. For both McCullers and Kirby, seven or more runs have been scored in three of their last four starts. The Mariners won't go out without a bang, and the Astros have the firepower to keep up. Yankees vs. Guardians, 7:37PM ET

One of our preseason MLB value plays, the Cleveland Guardians, came up clutch and knocked off the Yankees in extra innings yesterday. A quick turnaround pits these two against each other again on Saturday, this time in Cleveland where we will have to see how the Yankees perform on the road.

Yankees fans should be nervous, as their star Aaron Judge has been in a massive slump ever since ESPN decided to show his every waking move. Judge hasn't had two hits in a game since September 21, and he's currently 0-8 in this series. Something feels off with New York, and we think the Guardians capitalize.
