Reds vs. Pirates, 6:35PM ET

Despite being in the midst of a slump with just a single win in their last 8 games, the Pirates will open up this midweek series against the Reds as favorites with the sportsbooks to claim the W tonight. Apart from the slight edge in the starting pitcher matchup with Roansy Contreras (5-5, 3.68 ERA) up against Chase Anderson (2-3, 5.21 ERA), it's hard to see this being a complete cakewalk for the Bucs. If the Reds can stick with it in the early innings, they'll have the ability to attack the Pirates' bullpen who are operating on an obscene 8.64 ERA collectively over their last 10 games. The value play here is Cincy.

Braves vs. Nationals, 7:05PM ET

Atlanta will be turning to their rookie in Bryce Elder to start on the mound tonight in what should be a low scoring game if recent numbers are anything to go by. Elder has warmed nicely into the big leagues, finding his feet and producing some magnificent form with a 0.96 ERA across his last three starts through a combined 18.2 pitched innings. Despite getting a 6-1 win over the Marlins to round out the weekend yesterday, the Nats haven't exactly been setting the world on fire when it comes to scoring, averaging jus 2.97 runs per game across their last 10 matches. Expect this to be one way traffic for the World Series champs in what could be a game with minimal scoring from the home team.

Orioles vs. Red Sox, 7:10PM ET

Boston have lost 5 in a row and are limping towards the finish line of the regular season as they look to host the Orioles at Fenway who will have a big chance to feast on the inexperience Red Sox starter Connor Seabold (0-3, 10.47 ERA). Seabold, who is in his second season in the Majors after one appearance last year, has given up an average of 4.8 runs per start across his four appearances in 2022. This could be a real litmus test for the 26-year-old who will be making his second start since being recalled from Triple A last week, but he'll face a tough time against an O's offense which has been firing over the past week, scoring just under 6 runs per game.
