Monday MLB Parlay Analysis

Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Sox, 7:10 PM ET

LEG 1: Whit Merrifield to Record a Hit (-240) with DraftKings

Our last parlay (on Friday) cashed! Let’s hope this one can hit with ease too. It begins with:

Whit Merrifield of the Toronto Blue Jays. Whit has been featured in the Parlay of the Day before and he hasn’t let us done, hopefully that trend continues today.

Merrifield is batting .320 on the season. He has yet to hit a homerun, but all he seems to do is get on base. He has 24 hits this season, 17 singles.

Today, Merrifield will face Corey Kluber and the Red Sox in Boston. Merrifield has 35 plate appearances vs. Kluber, hitting .257 in them. While that could be better, Kluber is clearly regressing.

The 37 year old Kluber is sporting a 6.75 ERA this season, and allowing nearly 5+ hits in every start he’s made.

If Merrifield can’t get it done vs. Kluber, I am confident he will have plenty of chances against a weak Red Sox bullpen. Whit will get us a hit and get the first leg of the parlay down.

Cincinnati Reds vs San Diego Padres, 9:40 PM ET

LEG 2: Xander Bogaerts to Record a Hit (-215) with DraftKings

After Whit gets the job done, we will ask Mr. Bogaerts to do the same thing: get us 1 hit.

Bogaerts and the Padres are coming off that short 2 game series in Mexico City where every fly ball was a homerun (or at least it felt that way). While some of the Padres batters may struggle today, I don’t expect Bogaerts to be one of them.

Xander is batting .308 this season. He has a hit in 7 of his last 10 games. Xander has been dominant at home hitting .362 at home.

Bogaerts will face the right hander Luke Weaver of the Reds. Bogaerts is hitting .353 vs. Right Handed Pitchers this year. Weaver gave up 8 hits in his last start, all we need from him is 1 today to Xander.

Xander has come through for us in the past, we are asking him to do it once again. Love this spot for him vs. Weaver & a weak Reds bullpen.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, 10:10PM ET

LEG 3: Bryson Stott to Record a Hit (-245) with DraftKings

Here we are at Leg 3. Stott will give us the late night energy we need. A 10:10 PM start isn’t great for our sleep schedules, however, Stott typically leads off for the Phillies so he could get his hit on the very first pitch of the game.

Stott is hitting .317 this season and having a true breakout one at that. He has a hit in 8 of his last 10 games, and being that they are on the road, he likely sees 5+ plate appearances tonight.

When taking hit props, I just ask for opportunity and on the road batting leadoff should give us plenty of chances to get 1 hit.

Tony Gonsolin is expected to start for the Dodgers. He’s a solid pitcher, however, this will be just his 2nd start of the season. In his first start, he only went 3.1 Innings Pitched.

Gonsolin is not unhittable. Stott only has 2 plate appearances vs. Gonsolin (0/2), but I am confident he can get a hit on him. If it’s not on Tony, then it can be on the bullpen which has been sub-par for the Dodgers this season.

Bryson, we need a hit. Simple as that.
