Monday MLB Parlay Analysis

Houston Astros vs Toronto Blue Jays, 7:07 PM ET

LEG 1: Blue Jays +1.5 (-220) with DraftKings

The Parlay of the Day is back looking for a winner. Trusting the Blue Jays with Manoah on the mound would’ve been easy in 2022. However, 2023 has not been kind to Manoah.

Manoah is 1-6 with a 5.46 ERA. Yet, the Blue Jays are still favored at home vs. a very talented Astros lineup. I am confident Toronto’s bats can play well vs. Brandon Bielak.

The Blue Jays are riding a 4 game winning streak. On paper, Bielak has solid numbers, but danger is looming. On the road, he’s rocking a 3.86 ERA, but has allowed 23 Hits in 16.1 IP including 5 Homers with a .343 OBA.

The Blue Jays will make Bielak pay. Manoah will pitch ‘okay’ and I am confident if the Jays lose, it’s in a 1 run game, or they win outright.

I know a lot of people don’t want to trust Manoah, so if you want to pivot to an alternate total OVER in this game, I wouldn’t call you crazy. Just keep it close Blue Jays!

Milwaukee Brewers vs Cincinnati Reds, 7:10 PM ET

LEG 2: Reds +1.5 (-162) with DraftKings

For the 2nd leg, we are taking another home team on the +1.5. Everyone is loading up their accounts to bet more on the Brewers, and understandably so, they will start Julio Teheran and his 0.82 ERA & 0.82 WHIP.

Those numbers are deceiving. Regression is coming for him, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the Reds were the team to hit him with it. Yesterday, the Reds couldn’t get anything going offensively. Today, they will have their chances.

Plus, if you’re the Reds offense, you need to step up for your young pitcher making his first ever start. Andrew Abbott was called up from AAA to start here. This year, he’s had a 4-0 Record with a 2.50 ERA. He’s a strikeout specialist, and if there’s anything the Brewers do well, it’s striking out.

I trust the Reds to bounce back and keep this one close, potentially win it outright. Abbott will do his job, just need the offense to show up.

St. Louis Cardinals vs Texas Rangers, 8:05 PM ET

LEG 3: Under 11.5 Runs (-225) with DraftKings

For the final leg in this parlay, we’re heading to Texas. The red-hot Rangers face the Cardinals and we’re taking the alternate under 11.5 runs.

Martin Perez starts for the Rangers today. Even though we said we saw some trouble signs for Perez in our video, he still has a 1.93 ERA at home. 

The Cardinals just had a bad outing vs a lefty. This bet is a hedge on our Cardinals moneyline video pick in case it happens again. 

Adam Wainwright starts for the Cardinals. Even though he enters with a 6.15 ERA, I still think this is a good spot for him.

Wainwright will use a lot of curveball and sinker. If Wainwright has the sinker working, we can get outs via pitch-to-contact and induce softly hit groundballs.

The only way to slow a Rangers offense that is hitting .369 in their last 3 games is to induce soft contact hits. I think Wainwright gets that done today and the alternate under will hit as the last leg of the parlay.
