Monday MLB Parlay Analysis
Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins, 2:10 PM ET
LEG 1: Twins moneyline (-110) with DraftKings
To start this parlay, we did a little bit of line reading. Whenever an ace is even odds on the moneyline, it screams at us to go the other way.
Today, the Twins find themselves in a pick’em against one of the best strikeout pitchers in the majors. We’re talking about Dylan Cease of the Chicago White Sox.
Cease has been surgical this year in his 2 starts. He has yet to allow more than one earned run in each start, and he struck out 8 and 10 batters in those two games.
The Twins have the offense to drive up Cease’s pitch count and get him out of the game earlier than expected. The White Sox are dead last in bullpen ERA, which should provide run opportunities late.
Minnesota is the definition of a streaky offense, but after their lack-luster performance yesterday, I expect a surprisingly efficient performance today.
Kenta Maeda starts for the Twins in his second start of the year. Maeda went five innings, only allowed three hits and only gave up one earned run in his first outing.
If Maeda can duplicate his performance from his first start, we like the Twins’ bats to give him enough run support to get the outright win today.
⚾️ White Sox vs. Twins Predictions
📈 Betting preview: White Sox vs. Twins
Oakland Athletics vs. Baltimore Orioles, 6:35 PM ET
LEG 2: Athletics +1.5 (-130) with DraftKings
The parlays were cold to end the week last week, and so were the Athletics. We both need a bounce-back in the worst way!
The A’s are coming off back to back 11-0 losses to the Rays. Is that bad? Well, it’s not good. Today, I feel like they might spoil some parlays that people have with Orioles ML or Orioles-1.5.
Lucky for us, they won’t be spoiling our parlay when they get it done. Now why am I backing the Athletics?
JP Sears will start for the Athletics. In his first start, Sears allowed 8 hits in 4.2 IP, but only 3 ER. He had a lot of baserunners but was able to work through some jams against the Guardians. The Athletics ended up winning that game.
The Orioles did not have great splits vs. left handed pitchers last season. This season, they’ve been better but the top half of their order continues to struggle.
The Orioles will start Kyle Gibson. Gibson has thrown twice this season. 5 IP, 4 ER vs. BOS and 7 IP, 2 ER vs. Texas. This will be his first start at home.
Knowing Gibson from last year, he’s capable of catastrophic outings and I am confident one could come here. The DimersBot gives us a 3.5% Edge, which we are going to need all of it.
I will ride with the Athletics today. Just keep it close!
⚾️ Athletics vs. Orioles Predictions
📈 Betting preview: Athletics vs. Orioles
St. Louis Cardinals vs Colorado Rockies, 8:40 PM ET
LEG 3: Paul Goldschmidt to record 2+ Bases (-120) with DraftKings
Paul Goldschmidt is in a great spot to record two or more bases vs the Rockies today. At Coors Field, we love to see a great hitter like Goldy hitting at high altitude.
Goldschmidt faces the Rockies starter German Marquez. Goldschmidt has great career splits vs Marquez, hitting .425 in 46 plate appearances.
Out of the 17 hits Goldschmidt has against Marquez, eight of them are extra base hits and would cash the 2+ bases we need today.
The 2022 NL MVP Paul Goldschmidt is hitting an impressive .333 on the season. We expect the trip to Coors Field to only help that average and finish off our parlay with a win.
