Friday MLB Parlay Analysis
San Francisco Giants vs. Milwaukee Brewers , 8:11 PM ET
LEG 1: No Runs First Inning (-115) with FanDuel Sportsbook
It’s NRFI Friday! NRFI stands for No Run First Inning. Last Friday, we cashed out on NRFI Friday! Let’s try to do it again!
We head to Milwaukee for our first leg of this NRFI parlay. Starting for the Brewers is Freddy Peralta.
Peralta is 3-1 in his last four starts to the NRFI. He faces a Giants team that is 7th in first inning runs. It is worth noting the Giants haven’t scored a first inning run in their last 3 games.
Alex Wood needs to get us the last three outs. Like Peralta, Wood is 3-1 in his last four starts to the NRFI. Milwaukee is 20th in first inning runs.
If Wood is able to keep the ball in the ballpark, we feel really good about this first leg cashing and moving us on to the late games.
Miami Marlins vs. Los Angeles Angels, 9:38 PM ET
LEG 2: No Runs First Inning (-115) with FanDuel Sportsbook
Our 2nd leg is also one of our video plays. We picked the Marlins and Angels NRFI in the video, so we have to try our luck with it in the parlay.
Starting for the Angels is Reid Detmers. Detmers is 6-2 to the NRFI on the season and faces a Marlins team that is only 28th in first inning runs.
Jesus Luzardo needs to get us the last three outs of the first inning. Luzardo is a stellar 9-1 on NRFIs this year.
He will face a powerful Angels lineup that is 6th in first inning runs, but we’re confident in his ability to get through Ohtani and Trout.
Luzardo is a K specialist and hard to see first time through the order. Get it done for us today Jesus and Reid!
Houston Astros vs Oakland Athletics, 9:40 PM ET
LEG 3: No Runs First Inning (-120) with FanDuel Sportsbook
The final leg of this +540 parlay is in the Astros/Athletics game. Before I dive into it, if this parlay hits, we are giving away the full winnings to 1 person on Twitter. I (@CallingOurShot) will post how to enter at 2PM EST, so stay tuned for that!
James Kaprielian will start for the Athletics. Kaprielian’s last start came against the Astros. He threw five Innings, allowing only one run which did not come in the 1st Inning so the NRFI was a success.
He will have his work cut out for him against a talented Astros offense, but he’s a capable pitcher. He’s been better since his return in his last two starts. I am confident he can get us three outs.
Hunter Brown will start for the Astros. Brown has not allowed a run in the 1st Inning in three straight starts, including once against the Athletics. At the end of the day, the Athletics offense hasn’t been great. They are 3rd worst in the MLB at scoring in the First Inning at home.
If it’s the Athletics that make us lose, we will tip the cap and move on.
Three NRFIs. 18 Outs Total. That’s all that stands between us and greatness. Let’s get it done.
