Friday MLB Parlay Analysis
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 6:36 PM ET
LEG 1: No Runs First Inning (-125) with FanDuel Sportsbook
To kick off this no run first inning parlay, we’re going to Pittsburgh for the first six outs.
Johan Oviedo starts in the top half of the inning. Oviedo has been up and down in the 1st inning with a 4-4 record on NRFIs.
The Diamondbacks are 27th in first inning runs scored. If Arizona puts up runs, it usually comes in the second inning or later.
Zac Gallen starts for the Diamondbacks today. Gallen has been surgical in the 1st inning this year with a 7-2 record on NRFIs.
A pitcher like Gallen is so hard for hitters to face the first time through the order. It’s up to Gallen to take us home for the last three outs needed.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. St. Louis Cardinals, 7:10 PM ET
LEG 2: No Runs First Inning (-108) with FanDuel Sportsbook
For the second no runs in the first inning, we head back to St. Louis. There were a million runs scored in the first inning here yesterday, which sets up perfectly for a lower scoring game today.
Steven Matz starts for the Cardinals today. Matz is 4-4 on NRFIs this season, so he has yet to get any consistency to start the games.
We’re confident he can get us the first three outs we need because the Dodgers have really struggled vs lefties. They’re dead last in batting average against left handed pitchers.
It’s up to Tony Gonsolin to get us the last 3 outs we need. Gonsolin is 4-0 on NRFIs this season so far.
We know the Cardinals hitters are talented, but Gonsolin will have the advantage in the first few plate appearances. Keep the ball in the ballpark, and we’ll have another leg down.
Miami Marlins vs. San Francisco Giants, 10:16 PM ET
LEG 3: No Runs First Inning (-154) with FanDuel Sportsbook
Hopefully by 10:15 PM ET, we will have cashed two legs and be anxiously waiting for this game to start. Six outs could be what stands between us and cashing this parlay at +471 Odds.
Anthony DeSclafani and Sandy Alcantara are the guys we need to take us home.
DeSclafani is 6-2 on No Run First Innings this season. This is a Marlins offense that has started slow, 28th in First Inning Runs. The Marlins have also struggled vs. Right Handed Pitchers.
This is a perfect combination for me to trust DeSclafani to get us three outs. Next up: Sandy Alcantara.
Sandy is 8-0 on No Run First Innings this season. The Giants are a potent first inning offense, 7th in First Inning Runs. But at the end of the day, you trust your GOATs and I trust Sandy to get us 3 outs. Simple as that.
Take us home, fellas!
