Friday MLB Parlay Analysis

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Miami Marlins, 6:41 PM ET

LEG 1: No Runs First Inning (-120) with FanDuel Sportsbook

For the first leg of this NRFI parlay, we’re using a system play. The Marlins have been cash cows for the NRFI this year, so we’re trusting that process again today.

Starting for the Marlins today is Jesus Luzardo. Luzardo is 13-2 on NRFIs this season and faces a Pirates offense that is 23rd in first inning runs scored.

The Pirates are starting Luis Ortiz today. Ortiz is 4-3 on NRFIs this year but faces a Marlins offense that is 30th in first inning runs scored.

The Marlins really struggle to score in the first inning and the Pirates struggle to score in any inning. The NRFI is a great play

Oakland Athletics vs Toronto Blue Jays, 7:07 PM ET

LEG 2: No Runs First Inning (-110) with FanDuel Sportsbook

The second leg of the NRFI Parlay takes us to Toronto. This is not a NRFI I expect to be heavily targeted, but it is one I could see easily hitting.

The Blue Jays will start Chris Bassitt. He’s 11-4 on NRFIs this season. He’s achieved the NRFI in four straight starts. The Athletics haven’t scored in the first inning in 12 straight games. I am confident Bassitt will do his job.

The Athletics will start James Kaprielian. He is not someone many people trust BUT he is 6-4 on NRFIs and has done so in 2 straight starts. He’s been much better his last 3 starts.

The Blue Jays might help him out given they haven’t scored in the first inning in three straight and in 74% of their games (which is a higher % than the Athletics).

Washington Nationals vs San Diego Padres, 9:40 PM ET

LEG 3: No Runs First Inning (-115) with FanDuel Sportsbook

The last leg of our NRFI parlay sends us to the west coast. We need six outs from Patrick Corbin and Joe Musgrove.

Musgrove starts for the Padres today. Joe is 8-2 on NRFIs this season and faces a Nationals offense that is tied for 8th in first inning runs. Musgrove will be hard for the Nationals to hit for the first time through the order.

We’re asking Patrick Corbin to get us the last three outs of the inning. I know Patrick Corbin can be a hard guy to trust, but he’s a respectable 10-5 on NRFIs this season.

The Padres are 4th in first inning runs scored but their offense is crashing back down to earth. After scoring 10 runs yesterday, this Padres offense will struggle against Corbin which is why we see the over/under line at only eight runs.
