Friday MLB Parlay Analysis

Los Angeles Angels vs Houston Astros, 8:10 PM ET

LEG 1: No Runs First Inning (-122) with FanDuel Sportsbook

The Parlay of the Day is looking to go into the weekend with a winner! Per usual, on Fridays, we do three NRFIs (No Run First Inning). All it takes is 18 outs and we walk away with a winner.

Let’s start with Shohei Ohtani vs. Framber Valdez. Both very solid pitchers. Valdez will lead off the top of the 1st. He’s 9-2 on NRFIs this season. He’s capable of striking out guys and getting out of jams, but his true calling card is the ground ball and soft contact.

This Angels team feels like one that will chase his pitches early, give us a quick three outs.

Next up is Shohei Ohtani. A strikeout specialist. Ohtani hasn’t been great on NRFIs, 7-4, but he did NRFI vs. the Astros already.

At the end of the day, we are trusting two elite pitchers to do their jobs and get us three outs each.

Hopefully they can do just that and get us the 1st Leg down!

Colorado Rockies vs Kansas City Royals, 8:10 PM ET

LEG 2: No Runs First Inning (-102) with FanDuel Sportsbook

This is a read of the line and public percentage on this game. Everyone is waking up and mashing the over in this game but I think we see a lower scoring game to start.

Jordan Lyles starts for the Royals. We know his ERA is bad but he faces a Rockies team that is 15th in first inning runs scored on the road.

Away from Coors Field, I have no trust in the Rockies to consistently score. After three straight yes run first innings, this is a percentage play on Lyles being due a NRFI.

Chase Anderson is tasked with getting us the last 3 outs we need. Anderson is 3-0 on NRFIs this season.

The Royals are 18th in first inning runs. I have confidence Anderson can get us the last three outs we need and get another leg down.

Chicago Cubs vs San Diego Padres, 9:40 PM ET

LEG 3: No Runs First Inning (-122) with FanDuel Sportsbook

The final leg of this NRFI parlay ends in San Diego. We need the Cubs and Padres to combine for six outs without a run.

Starting for the Padres is Michael Wacha. Wacha is 4-1 on NRFIs this year.

Wacha faces a Cubs team that is only 25th in first inning runs scored. They used to be better in the first inning, but the Cubs have really struggled to score in the first lately.

Jameson Taillon starts for the Cubs and he’s 2-2 on road NRFIs this year. The Padres are a team I’m comfortable with taking a NRFI against as they’re 10th in first inning runs but rarely ever play up to the talent in that order.

We need six outs in the late slate and I think these two pitchers get it done for us!
