BEST BETS: Friday's Best Bets For the MLB - August 11, 2023

MLB Best Bet Parlay For Friday, August 11

Friday MLB Parlay Analysis

Oakland Athletics vs. Washington Nationals, 7:06 PM ET

LEG 1: Lane Thomas 1+ Hit (-260) with Bet365

The Hit Parlay has cashed on both Monday and Wednesday. We aim for the perfect 3-0 on the week! Let’s dive into this first leg.

It will be, Lane Thomas of the Nationals. Lane is batting .283 on the season. Today, he will go up against Paul Blackburn.

Lane has never faced Blackburn, but that’s fine with me. Lane is batting .310 on the year at home. This is their first game back at home since August 2nd. I expect Lane to come out ready to go.

Blackburn is allowing a .277 batting average to Right Handed Batters. Lane should have no problem doing some damage vs. Paul to get this 1st leg of the parlay down.

Go do your job, Lane.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:06 PM ET

LEG 2: Matt McClain 1+ Hit (-210) with Bet365

The second leg of this hit parlay is one of my favorite hitters in the league, Matt McLain.

McLain is batting .297 on the season and is a constant staple of the top three in the Reds lineup. On the road, that means McLain should be locked in for AT LEAST 4 plate appearances, with a chance at more.

Today, McLain will face Johan Oviedo. These two haven’t faced each other before, but I don’t think that will matter. McLain had the day off yesterday, but should be back in the lineup.

Oviedo throws mostly Sliders, 4-Seam Fastballs and Curveballs. Those are three pitches McLain loves to hit with a .362, .269 & .304 Batting Average, respectively, against those pitches.

McLain will come through for us.

Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets, 7:11 PM ET

LEG 3: Austin Riley 1+ Hit (-225) with Bet365

The final leg of this hit parlay is a legend to the hit parlays this season. Yep, it’s Austin Riley.

It’s rare that you ever see Riley have a game without a hit. Out of his last 15 games, Riley has a hit in 13 of them.

There’s a reason we love to trust Riley and his .280 batting average vs. righties. Today he gets the righty Tylor Megill for the Mets.

Megill is making his first start against Atlanta since May where he gave up four hits and three earned runs in 5.2 innings. Even if Megill is solid, Riley should have plenty of hit opportunities against a below-average Mets bullpen.

Batting on the road gives us nine innings of at-bats for Riley. Let’s hope he can deliver once again!
