Friday MLB Parlay Analysis

Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets, 1:10 PM ET

LEG 1: Under 7.5 Runs (-106) with DraftKings

Keeping this one simple. I am fading two offenses that have started the season very slow. The Marlins are 20th in Batting Average, while the Mets are 27th. Is that bad? Well, it’s not good!

Today, we will have Edward Cabrera vs. Tyler Megill. Both pitchers will be making their second start of the season, and who did their first start come against? Each other.

In the first matchup, the final score was 6-2, barely going Over this line. Tylor Megill pitched well. Five innings pitched, two earned runs, seven strikeouts.

Edward Cabrera vs the Mets: four innings pitched, allowed two earned euns. He walked six guys! It’s clear he didn’t have his A-game but he was able to make it out of some tough jams.

I like both pitchers to pitch well today. They knocked off some of the Summer rust. Cabrera can’t possibly walk six guys again…right?

This is an early start at 1:10PM ET. Could both teams take some time to heat up their bats? Certainly. Give me the full game UNDER in this one to kick off the parlay with a winning leg!

⚾️ Marlins vs. Mets Predictions

Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins, 4:10 PM ET

LEG 2: Twins Moneyline (-124) with DraftKings

We have to do some line reading for this leg. Anytime we see the Astros as plus money on the moneyline, something is suspect.

Today, Minnesota has a big edge in starting pitching. Sonny Gray takes the mound for the Twins boasting a 0.00 ERA.

In his first start of the year, Gray went five innings and didn’t allow a run. His walks and strikeouts were out of balance in that game, but we expect a better performance out of him at home.

The Twins will look to exploit Jose Urquidy today. In Urquidy’s first start for the Astros, he got rocked. Urquidy went four innings, giving up seven hits and three earned runs.

On the year, the Twins are only 23rd best in OPS. I expect that to improve today being in their home ballpark for the first time this season.

The path for this leg to cash: provide Gray with enough run support to make his mistakes obsolete. The Twins have the bullpen ERA advantage over Houston to sustain that lead as well.

⚾️ Astros vs. Twins Predictions

San Diego Padres vs Atlanta Braves, 7:20 PM ET

LEG 3: Matt Olson to record a hit (-250) with DraftKings

We like Matt Olson to record a hit today against the Padres. After all, he’s swinging one of the hottest bats in baseball.

Olson is hitting .357 in his last 3 games. He has a favorable matchup today against Nick Martinez.

In his career, Olson has a .444 average in 10 plate appearances against Martinez. He should see five or six plate appearances today since he bats near the top of the order.

He will draw the occasional walk, but there’s a good chance he sees pitches to hit. Ronald Acuna bats above him in the order and he’s constantly on base. The last thing Martinez would want to do is walk Olson and put Acuna in scoring position.

All we need is one hit of any variety today Matt Olson. Get it done today and cash this parlay!
