Bengals vs. Ravens Odds and Betting Lines

The Points Spread (Ravens -3)

Over the last two seasons, the Bengals are 9-2 against the spread when facing defenses that allow at least 235 passing yards per game. They have won those games by an average of 10.5 points per game. Cincinnati is also 13-4 ATS when facing teams that complete at least 61% of their passes or better in that span, winning those contests by an average of 6.1 points per game.

Trends can be hard to follow blindly, but those ones actually say something. They prove that the Bengals are a team that is well equipped to cover the spread in a potential shootout, which is exactly what you should expect in a game that features Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson getting to go up against bad defenses.

The Ravens are, however, the team with the worse defense in this matchup. John Harbaugh's team has allowed 30.3 points per game over the last three games and opponents are just moving the ball at will against this defensive unit. We don't expect that to change at all, especially with Cincinnati having scored 27 points in back-to-back games.

It can be unsettling to go up against Lamar as a bettor, but sometimes you just have to do it. This is a game that should be extremely close, which means taking the points is the right play. And Cincinnati has a real shot at winning this one outright. The Bengals won their two games against the Ravens last season by a total of 44 points.

Over/Under Points Total (48.5)

Since Zac Taylor became the head coach of the Bengals, the Over is 5-0 when his team is coming off a home win by 10 or more points. That records is also 8-2 when you factor in away wins by 10 or more. The over also happens to be 14-4 when the Ravens have played teams that average 3.5 or fewer yards per carry on the ground. So, the trends overwhelmingly point to a high-scoring game here.

The style of play also suggests a shootout, as Baltimore is no longer the defensive juggernaut it once was. The Ravens are now a team that looks to win games in shootouts, and the Bengals aren't all that different. We expect these offenses to go back and forth, making this a game that should go Over — as well as one you'll want to make sure you watch.

Bengals vs. Ravens Free Picks

Best Bet: Over 48.5

Last year, these teams averaged 60.0 points per game in their two meetings with one another and we expect some similar fireworks this time around. These are two explosive offenses and neither defense can be trusted to get stops consistently here.

We strongly suggest taking this with the FanDuel risk-free bet of up to $1,000 offer mentioned at the top of this article because, even if the Over doesn't hit, you'll still have plenty to work with in order to bet more games. You can claim it ➡️ here ⬅️.

If you already use FanDuel, then you absolutely have to claim BetMGM's Bet $10, Get $200 for a touchdown offer ➡️ here ⬅️.
