Aaron Rodgers Looking Forward to Teaming Up With Devante Adams Again

It would be fair to say that his debut season as a New York Jet did not pan out how Aaron Rodgers would have hoped, and the veteran quarterback is no doubt as frustrated by that fact as the fans of the long-suffering NFL side. The former Green Bay Packer and four-time NFL MVP suffered a serious injury in his first game and missed the remainder of the campaign but is now ready to make a triumphant return at the MetLife Stadium and apparently ‘can’t wait’ to team up with Davante Adams once again.

Fans of the Jets who feel that this coming season will be the turning point and an end to their long-running postseason drought might want to back that assertion with a bet, in which case the insights and offers you can access on all the best sports betting apps could prove pivotal in terms of making the biggest bang for your betting buck.

Rodgers knows how important it is to develop tight relationships with his wide receivers and over the course of eight years with Adams as a Packers pairing, the Jets QB is keen to get things in motion with his playing partner.

"I love Davante. Can’t wait to play with him," Rodgers stated before adding “again” as a reminder to himself and the world as to what the duo can achieve.

There is much talk of a possible reunion between the players, with Adams commenting on the ongoing speculation;

"He's in the ear,"

"But it's not as easy. Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I'm a Raider, and he knows that." Adams added.

So, a move to the Jets is, at this point, kind of unlikely and Rodgers’ is perhaps just laying the groundwork. Many believe that the possibility of bringing a player of Adams calibre to join the New York franchise, alongside Garrett Wilson, would give Robert Saleh’s side the best receiver pairing in the league, which would go a long way to offering Jets fans the hope of a less heartbreaking campaign next time around.

Wilson now has also joined in the process of attempting to lure Adams to the New York Jets, stating on the subject;

"I see that. I'm excited. I'm with all of it,"

"Anyone we can get into the facility to help this team win games, I'm with it — and he's one of those." He added.

Indeed, many feel that Rodgers and Wilson, who didn’t get to combine last season, is another match made in NFL heaven, and the future does look positive for the Jets, just so long as their showpiece star can stay fit and healthy for long enough to make a difference.

The Jets start the season on the road, facing the San Francisco 49ers in NFL Game Week 1, and a match-up against last season’s Super Bowl losers would be a good way to judge just what Rodgers and co. are capable of achieving.
