2021 Valero Texas Open: Golf Preview, Picks and Bets - Who Will Win The Valero Texas Open?
The final tournament before the 2021 Masters is here, with the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio, and we've got you covered with free picks and plays for the week in golf!
With many of the top players opting to take a week off before heading to Augusta, this week's field is lacking some star power but there's still plenty of great players out there for us to make some money on.
The betting favorite this week is 2015 Masters champion, Jordan Spieth, with his odds sitting at around +1100. Despite being one of our favorites here at DIMERS HQ, we're looking elsewhere this week, with hope that he saves his best for next week!
Let's get into the bets for this week โฌ๏ธ

๐ Top Pick:
Tony Finau (+1400 or 14/1)
Bet $10, win $140 with PointsBet
We picked this guy back in February at the Genesis Invitational, where he ended up falling just short, losing in a playoff to Max Homa.
After taking some time to recover, we're back on Tony as he seeks his coveted second win on the PGA Tour.
'Top Five Tony' has had an off couple of weeks, failing to impress at the Match Play and missing the cut at THE PLAYERS, but was in some of the hottest form in golf in the weeks leading up to TPC Sawgrass.
A slightly weakened field - combined with run of six top-15 finishes in seven appearances across December to February - means Tony Finau is our top pick for the 2021 Valero Texas Open.

๐ฐ Value Bet:
Cameron Tringale (+3300 or 33/1)
Bet $10, win $330 with FanDuel Sportsbook
One of the favorites of Tail and Print host, Finn, Cameron Tringale presents great value for bettors looking around the 30/1 mark this week!
Looking at the FedEx Cup standings for the season so far, Tringale is the sixth-ranked player in this week's field and apart from missing the cut at THE PLAYERS has been in career-best form of late.
Before TPC Sawgrass, the 33-year-old hadn't missed a cut since the Bermuda back at the start of November last year, with highlights including a 3rd-place finish at the RSM Classic and T7 at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

๐ฎ Dark Horse:
Rafael Campos (+18000 or 180/1)
Bet $10, win $1800 with DraftKings Sportsbook
Last but not least, we have Puerto Rican star, Rafael Campos, who experienced a heartbreaking 2nd-place finish last week as Joel Dahmen secured his first PGA Tour victory at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
As well as last week's close call, Campos also finished T3 at the Puerto Rico open recently, as is truly knocking on the door of his first PGA dub.
Last week's painful loss (see the final putt below) could have drained Campos, but at 180/1, we're happy to back in the idea that it could fuel him to victory at the Valero.

2021 Dark Horse record:
Sungjae Im @ Sentry TOC โ T5 (Top 5)
Marc Leishman @ Sony Open โ T4 (Top 5)
Cameron Champ @ AmEx โ CUT
Corey Conners @ Farmers โ T37
Jason Day @ Phoenix โ CUT
Harold Varner @ Pebble โ CUT
Cameron Smith @ Genesis โ 4th (Top 5)
Collin Morikawa @ WGC Workday โ WIN
Marc Leishman @ AP Invitational โ CUT
Tommy Fleetwood @ PLAYERS - CUT
J.T. Poston @ Honda - CUT
As you can see, we've now had four dark horses place in the Top-5 this season (including an outright winner!!), now this week is a bit different, but it's definitely worth playing Day to win outright and to get through his initial group!
