Free CFB Picks For 2021 New Year's Six
Peach Bowl: Pittsburgh vs. MSU. Thursday December 30, 7.00PM ET
⛏️ Prospector Sam's Pick: Pittsburgh moneyline (+120) ❌
The battle of the missing Heisman candidates is undoubtedly less exciting without Pickett and Walker, but should still have some fireworks. And, while losing your QB and leader may seem more problematic, this Panthers team is better from top to bottom and has the added motivation from Narduzzi playing a Spartans team where he coached for 8 years. I like the ACC champs to handle this one.
🤖 DimersBOT's Pick: Total points OVER 56.5 (-110) ❌
The next time we will be seeing Kenny Pickett and Kenneth Walker will be on NFL Sundays, but this is still a game worth tuning into.
We all should remember what OSU’s QB CJ Stroud did to this defense in just a half of football. 432 yards and 6 touchdowns in ONE HALF. 30 minutes of football. Yikes.
The DimersBOT myself can torch this Michigan State secondary.
The 1500 yard, 17 TD wide out Jordan Addison is here to have some fun while Michigan State will be able to get theirs as well against this hit-or-miss Pitt defense.
The New Year's Six gets under way tonight, and @prospector_sam and @iansgold have kicked off their previews, starting with Pittsburgh vs. Michigan State 🏈

CFP Semi Final #1: Cincinnati vs. Alabama. Friday December 31, 3.30PM ET
⛏️ Prospector: Alabama -13.5 (-110)
I’m glad that we can finally see a non-Power 5 program in the playoffs. Well, I’ll say I’m glad they made it, but mostly because I expect it to be a trainwreck and we can finally put the issue to rest. Cincinnati has talent above what you’d expect at a few key positions, but across the board this team is going to get manhandled. Line play is going to decide this game, and Alabama is going to dominate that on both sides of the ball. The Tide win by a big number.
🤖 DimersBOT: Total points UNDER 58.5 (-110)
Well, Bearcats you got what you want. Are you ready for the tidal wave of SEC football? Let’s see what you got.
Injuries suck, but Cincy caught a huge break with John Metchie III going down with an ACL tear. He led the Tide with 96 receptions. Along with that, Alabama’s backfield isn’t as superior as it once was.
Look for Heisman winner Bryce Young to struggle to get going early and lack of scoring early on and throughout as both defenses will be amped up hungry for that natty berth.

CFP Semi Final #2: Georgia vs. Michigan. Friday December 31, 7.30PM ET
⛏️ Prospector: UGA -7.5 (-110)
Georgia may be limited by their QB play, but the bigger concern is their coaching. Kirby and co. looked Saban in the eye at the SEC Championship and caved like a house of cards (much like looking at Medusa turns men to stone, Saban turns men to cowering fools). That said, this team is too good for Michigan. Their defense is ruthless and it’ll take a much better quarterback than Cade McNamara to keep up. Georgia wins comfortably by stopping the run and overpowering the Wolverines on the offensive end. Give up the 7.5.
🤖 DimersBOT: Michigan moneyline (+240)
All we heard all year long was the Dawg’s defense. So good. Unstoppable. No one is beating them.
Fast forward to the SEC championship, they were humbled real quick. Alabama hung 536 yards of total offense on them.
Next challenge: Hassan Haskins and company.
Georgia is going to hear Haskins in their nightmares. The Dawgs will fall short once again. Wolverines roll.

Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State vs. Notre Dame. Saturday January 1, 1.00PM ET
⛏️ Prospector: Notre Dame -2 (-110)
Betting based on narrative is a dangerous road to take in gambling, but it has a big role to play in these matchups where nothing is really at stake. The Irish “lost” Brian Kelly to LSU (I’m not entirely sure that’s a bad thing, time will tell there), but the program rallied around Marcus Freeman and will show up for him in his first game as head coach.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, came up a yard short of a potential playoff berth and probably feel like this game is more of a letdown. I like the Irish to win and cover, especially with how strong their offense has been as of late.
🤖 DimersBOT: Notre Dame moneyline (-124)
Unfortunately, one team has to be the odd man out of the playoff. Well, the luck of the Irish ran out as they secured the five seed.
Combine that fuel with the high intensity of new coach Marcus Freeman, I definitely would not want to be in between the lines of this gridiron.
Remember how close Dezmon Jackson was to essentially securing a spot in the college playoff? Look for the Cowboys to be around that close again as the luck of the Irish will prevail.

Rose Bowl: Utah vs. Ohio State. Saturday January 1, 5.00PM ET
⛏️ Prospector: USU -5 (-110)
Speaking of teams who may or may not care about this game, perennial CFB Playoff participants Ohio State are probably not all that pleased with their current state, especially since rivals Michigan took their spot after dominating them in Ann Arbor. Ohio State is undoubtedly a better team than Utah, though, and the missing players will open up opportunities for high caliber backups looking to make a name. I think OSU’s talent is too much and they handle the Utes
🤖 DimersBOT: Total points UNDER 65.5 (-110)
Let’s start with this. Ask a fair weather fan to name a Buckeye not named Olave or Wilson.
Crickets...
Chris Olave and Garret Wilson are headed out to look for the fancy suits to wear on NFL Draft Day, as the Buckeyes look to end the season with a bowl win.
The Utes are no team to turn your head on as they could certainly upset the Buckeyes, but in order to do that they are going to need to play huge on the defensive side of the ball.
You know the saying, trust your intuition. Combine that with the holes in the wide out positions for the Buckeyes, this one will lack points. Bold prediction, I get it.

Sugar Bowl: Baylor vs. Ole Miss. Saturday January 1, 8.45PM ET
⛏️ Prospector: Total points OVER 55 (-110)
I respect the hell out of Corral for playing in this game, but any ship with Lane Kiffin at the helm is in danger of sinking. Rebels -1 is enticing, but the over at just 55 points is way too low for an Ole Miss team that puts up points in bunches. Baylor isnt an offensive juggernaut, but they score over 32 per game and should be able to move the ball here as well. Look for this one to be a shootout.
🤖 DimersBOT: Ole Miss moneyline (-114)
Three things to note here.
1: Tempo
2: Explosiveness
3. Matt Corral
Matt Corral has made it known he wants to sling the rock around in a New Year’s Day Six Bowl. Well Corral you got your wish, so unleash the inner beast.
Now back the tempo and explosiveness note.
Ole Miss is the exact definition of this. This team is similar the Chip Kelly’s Oregon team we remember from a few years back.
Matt Corral will lead the 4th ranked offense in a thriller and bring the trophy back to Oxford.
