2025 NFL Player Incentives to Bet on Before Week 1
Dimers intern Brad Barrett breaks down some contract incentives worth a wager before the 2025 NFL season kicks off.

With the 2025 NFL season right around the corner, bettors are diving deep into player prop futures - and a really good trend to look at is contract incentives.
Whether it's a wide receiver chasing a bonus for getting 1,000 yards or a linebacker eyeing a payout for hitting a sack milestone, these financial motivators can offer sharp bettors an edge against the sportsbooks when placing their NFL Bets in the preseason.
OPINION: The Three Best Sports to Bet On
Here are the top NFL player incentives to bet before kickoff of the NFL season.
Aaron Rodgers Over 22.5 passing TDs (-122 FanDuel) and Over 3200.5 passing yards (-114 FanDuel)
Aaron Rodgers has made it public that this season will be the last of his 20-year NFL career, and it is very unlikely that he will not go out with a bang. Rodgers signed a one year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason with incentives for him not on stat milestones, but overall success. Rodgers will be paid a bonus if he wins League MVP, and for every playoff win the Steelers get this season.
While this isn’t exactly the stat motivator that most incentives are, it should be noted that the Steelers didn’t sign Rodgers to witness a farewell tour; they signed him with the goal of winning a Super Bowl. The Steelers are a winning franchise and have won at least 8 games every season since 2004, and Rodgers will only add to that success.
Rodgers season-long passing touchdown line is currently 22.5 (-122 FanDuel) with 3200.5 (-114 FanDuel) as his passing yard line. These are lines that he has hit in every healthy season he has played since 2013. With the Steelers looking to make a deep playoff push and Rodgers trying to end his career in the best way possible (with incentives to motivate that), I think these props are must-bets for the 2025 season.

Kyler Murray Over 4.5 rushing TDs (+122 FanDuel) and Over 475.5 rushing yards (-114 FanDuel)
Kyler Murray has a contract incentive this season that gets him $750k for reaching 600 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. These are totals he just missed the mark on last season, in which he had 572 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns.
The Arizona offense is poised to have a successful year this season with Kyler Murray at the forefront. The fact that Murray hit these betting lines last year without the incentives is added motivation for what looks to be a successful year on the ground for the Cardinals quarterback.
With the NFC West being shaken up this offseason and Murray nearly hitting these lines last year in his first season with Head Coach Johnathan Gannon, these incentives make this a great pick to bet for the NFL season.

Sam Darnold Over 3400.5 passing yards (-114 FanDuel) and 4000+ passing yards (+340 FanDuel)
After a career year with the Minnesota VIkings last season, quarterback Sam Darnold signed a three year deal with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason - with incentives included.
Darnold has contract incentives if he reaches 28 passing touchdowns and if he reaches over 4,000 passing yards. These are both marks that Darnold hit last season for the Vikings, where he had 4,319 passing yards and 35 passing touchdowns.
With Darnold being handed the keys to pass-heavy Seattle offense and incentives for his success, his passing yard line at 3400.5 is a great look, and 4,000+ is worth a sprinkle as well.
Let's hope for Darnold’s sake and for bettors alike, he can relive last year's success now throwing the football in his new Seahawk uniform.
Khalil Shakir Over 775.5 receiving yards (-114 FanDuel)
Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir signed a 4 year, $60.2 million dollar contract extension for Buffalo and hopefully will fill the role as the team’s top receiver.
His new contract is loaded with incentives, as he gets a bonus for reaching 80 receptions, 90 receptions, 100 receptions, and 110 receptions, as well as for 900 receiving yards, 1,000 receiving yards, 1,100 receiving yards, and 1,200 receiving yards.
Shakir was a key piece to the Bills offense last year, and will surely play the same if bigger role for the team this season. Shakir had 76 receptions for 821 yards last year, the best marks of his career by far.
With the heavy amount of incentives in his new contract and last year’s NFL MVP Josh Allen throwing him the ball, over 775.5 receiving yards looks to be a great bet, especially as it is a line Shakir already hit last season.
Jerry Jeudy to have 1,000+ receiving yards (+135 FanDuel)
With the Browns quarterback room being a big talking point in the media, Jerry Jeudy is looking to continue to thrive at receiver, regardless of who is throwing him the football.
Last season, Jeudy had 90 receptions for 1,229 yards with 4 different quarterbacks throwing him the ball. Even if the Browns quarterback room doesn’t get better from last season, look for Jeudy to replicate his success.
Jeudy is also getting heavy incentives this year if he continues to keep up his great receiver play. He will earn $500k for 75 receptions and $875k for 90 receptions, as well as $500k for 1,000 yards and $875k for 1,200 yards.
Given his success with the variety of quarterbacks he had last season and incentives on his side, betting on Jerry Jeudy to replicate his 1,000-yard season last year at plus money is a great value prop for bettors to take note of.
