Premier League Soccer Picks and Predictions for Week 7

The English Premier League season is underway and this weekend brings another loaded slate of games. Our EPL soccer expert is ready to go with his English Premier League soccer picks for Week 7.

Before we dive in, you should know that it definitely pays to have more than one funded sportsbook account and to use multiple sports betting sites when betting on sports, whether it be the best parlay bets available today, some EPL futures, or anything else!

I would like to start by formally apologizing to the DimersBOT, who put me in my goddamn place last weekend with its Everton ML bet. I’ve made many mistakes in my life, both as a gambler and as a human, so I’ve learned to own it when I’m wrong and to try to avoid scenarios where I end up with an egg on my face, but in no world did I see that Everton team coming out and playing good soccer. I was very, very wrong.

As for the gambling, we continued to swim in mediocrity with another split of our bets, an annoying theme of late after a very hot start. I’ll take comfort in my Spurs both grabbing a point at the Emirates and helping me cash my bet, but I like to aspire for more than moral victories. I want to win, and I want to do it every time (or, more importantly, I f*ck1ng HATE losing). So, while I won't make any Messi-type claims about this week, I am on a mission to walk out of this slate with a 2-0 record and some clean profit. Let’s make it happen!

Time to dive back in with Dimers.com and our EPL plays of the week.

Premier League Best Bets - Week 7

Everton vs. Luton: Saturday, September 30, 10:00AM EST

These picks are going to operate slightly differently than normal, primarily because I’ve slightly failed in my responsibilities. These articles are meant to analyze and present both the bets of myself and the Model, because presumably, we both have something meaningful to offer. And, as the person writing the articles, it’s my job to ensure I give you something valuable from both sources. Unfortunately, that is not the case this week…

Dimers has a few high-value picks in its “best Premier League bets” page under the EPL (no comment on their love of Liverpool ML, damn traitors…), but none for these games and there is only a minor edge for their bet here. Alas, you’re stuck with just me and my Everton TT Over 1.5 pick at -128.

This bet may seem to cut against my speech last week about Everton being bad but, while that may still be the case (though they did impress Saturday), Luton have looked hopeless in the EPL, and calling them a fish out of water would be generous (a fish in space, possibly?). Luton concede over 2 per game and, at home, the Toffees should have a very good chance of keeping that trend rolling. Dimers also sees a slight edge on over 2.5, and if we’re going to reach that number it would be likely that Everton is doing the heavy lifting when you consider League 1 side Exeter shut out Luton midweek.

⛏️ Sam’s Pick: Everton TT Over 1.5 (-128) - 1.28U
🤖 Dimers' Model: Over 2.5 (+103) - 2.8% edge

Bournemouth vs. Arsenal: Saturday, September 30, 10:00 AM EST

To carry on the running commentary from the last bet about Dimers, you should note that not having a bet doesn't mean that the Model doesn't have anything to say. In fact, I’d argue that it’s still crucial information. Sometimes the best thing you can do as a gambler is not bet when the value isn't there, and Dimers saying “We don't see an edge” is actually significant information to consider when deciding whether this game is worth risking your money on. I considered it, and then dove in headfirst anyway.

I you want to know why, the bet I’m about to make tells you that I didn't make this decision lightly. I like Arsenal to score goals here, and I’m taking TT Over 2.5 at (+158). It hurts me as a Spurs fan to do that and I would love nothing more than to watch the Gunners fail, but Bournemouth have played two sides who qualified for Europe last year and conceded 3 to both of them (Liverpool, Brighton). Home soil might be a slight benefit, but the Cherries don't have the defensive chops to hold off a dangerous Arsenal side and I see this one getting pretty ugly. TT Over 2.5 isn't a bet I go to often because the bar is very high, but I think a return over 1.5 on your dollar is well worth the risk.

⛏️ Sam’s Pick: Arsenal TT Over 2.5 (+158) - 1U
🤖 Dimers' Model: N/A
