Dinger Tuesday Best Bets
Player | Odds | Probability |
Pete Alonso | +450 | 26% |
Kyle Tucker | +425 | 25.9% |
Jose Altuve | +550 | 21.3% |
Yainer Diaz | +400 | 23.2% |

Our model is expecting both teams to get in on the home run action on Tuesday night in Houston as the Astros host the Mets.
Framber Valdez (6-5, 2.28 ERA) will be the starting pitcher for the Astros, pitting him against Justin Verlander (2-3, 4.40 ERA) for the Mets. Verlander, of course, will be venturing back to the place where he won a World Series last season. Despite being a world champion teammate, some of these Astros have faced Verlander in battle before, with Jose Altuve boasting a whopping .563 career batting avg against him in 16 ABs. He's listed as a 21.5% chance of going yard, according to our model.
While not listed in our best home run props of this game, Jose Abreu should also be considered as a possible contender to hit a home run; he's hit six of them in his career against Verlander.
Elsewhere, our MLB home run predictor thinks Pete Alonso can take Framber Valdez to task, listing him as the most likely in the game with a 26% chance.
Kyle Tucker will be looking to hit a home run on Dinger Tuesday in consecutive weeks, listed as a 25.9% chance, while Yainer Diaz will be looking to make it dingers in consecutive nights after hitting a homer run against the Mets last night.
It’s worth noting that all of these home run props have better odds on DraftKings and BetMGM, and sometimes significantly, but you won’t get the advantage of the Dinger Tuesday bonus bets. They are still recommended plays on the other books, especially with a larger payout.
